fixing marc and marcxml
by Veronica Lencinas 09 Apr '10

09 Apr '10

Hi, I had some malfunction (probably incorrect configuration of one framework) in my Koha. One of the results was that items.marc and items.marcxml were build without the 952 fields. Koha still work (circulation, etc.), but it is impossible to edit items. So I need to fix the marcxml and marc fields in the items table. Do someone have a script to fix this? Thank you Verónica Lencinas Yahoo! Cocina Encontra las mejores recetas con Yahoo! Cocina. http://ar.mujer.yahoo.com/cocina/

Dear Koustubha, Magnu and Lenora, Thank you for the quick response. I understood from your mail that data in 650 stored in xml and we have to filter it from there. This thing also mentioned in SQL Library in Koha Wiki. According to the SQL Library following query will filter data from 650-a field in biblio number 24. SELECT ExtractValue((SELECT marcxml FROM biblioitems WHERE biblionumber=24), '//datafield[@tag="650"]/subfield[@code>="a"]') AS ITEM What are the changes in query list entire 650-a field from all records? -- Vimal Kumar V. Inventory questions
by David Schuster 08 Apr '10

08 Apr '10

Mainly if you are uploading a file do you need to select any of the other options besides setting the inventory date? Do you run any reports and what do you run to help clean up your collection? We came from a system that had great cleanup reports so this is more of a yep we have it or no we don't kind of inventory. What do you do??? What would you like it to do??? This is something on our development radar, but not as high a priority as a few other items. koha mapping
by Linda Culberson 08 Apr '10

Hey, y'all! (That's Mississippian for "hello, everyone!") Is there a way to map to the 942$n field using Koha to marc mapping? That field is not listed in the tables using online tool described at http://koha.org/documentation/manual/3.0/administration/catalog-administrat… I will be using it to prevent some bibliographic records from appearing in the opac. SQL report: help needed
by Vimal Kumar 08 Apr '10

08 Apr '10

Dear Friends, I have created an SQL query to create a collection list for our library. This report will display the details like Call Number, author, title etc. I could not include the element for subject or keyword. Here, I am using 650-a field for keyword in cataloguing. I could not found the details of table and field of "keyword" (650-a Topical term) in Koha. Can you help me to complete this SQL query for this report? SELECT items.itemcallnumber,biblio.author,biblio.title,biblio.copyrightdate,biblioitems.publishercode,biblioitems.place FROM items LEFT JOIN biblioitems on (items.biblioitemnumber=biblioitems.biblioitemnumber) LEFT JOIN biblio on (biblioitems.biblionumber=biblio.biblionumber) ORDER BY items.itemcallnumber asc Regards, -- Vimal Kumar V.
