Michael, I've had some jQuery in the Koha library for quite a while. You should take a look at https://wiki.koha-community.org/wiki/JQuery_Library#Add_clear_and_preset_pe… There are 3 versions of this for different versions of Koha, but this latest one includes a clear permissions button, a couple of preset permission buttons, and a copy permissions button. I always thought this would happen when copying/duplicating an existing patron. But when I actually tried it today the permissions were not there with the new patron and I had to set them manually. OAI-PMH harvester news

Hello, some news about the OAI-PMH harvester development. Biblibre has almost finished the development, we tried it this this afternoon. It's a simple first version of the OAI-PMH harvester with : A setting page is accessible in the admin section with the manage_search_targets permission. This page contains the fields : name; endpoint; set; data format (oai_dc; marc_xml); Encoding (utf8, ISO_5426, ...); record type (bibliographic, authority); XSLT for transforming rules (OAIDCtoUNIMARCXML.xsl ; OAIMarcxml2KohaMarcxml.xsl ...MARC21 is coming) The harvesting is possible only via the cron with a command harvest_oai.pl with the following parameters : h -help ; -v -verbose ; -s --server: id of the OAI server ; -d --days: number of days to harvest from (optional) ; -l --list: list the OAI servers The logs will be readable via the log viewer in the Tools section. The deduplication is only for records coming from the same OAI server, it will be checked with : server URL, identifier, the record type (biblio/authority). It will be the first step and Biblibre should be able to add it to Bugzilla in January 2024. But, there's still a big issue to solve. To add this development to Koha, we have to change the Perl module and to fix Bug 17704<https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=17704> - Fix OAI breakage when using HTTP::OAI 4.03+ Could someone have a look on it? View SQL generated by Average Loan Time report?

Hi all, Is there a way to view the query that the Average Loan Time report is using (issues_avg_stats.pl)? I'd like to put it in a SQL report and add further limits to it, it would be handy to be able to dump the query to the screen or log it somewhere. Thanks! HTTP 406 response from biblios API

I'm trying to use the Koha API, and no matter what I get an HTTP 406. Specifically, I'm trying to setup catalog harvesting for EBSCO. I look for this sample biblio: https://catalog.york.edu/api/vi/public/biblios/3555 I **AM** including a valid content-type header. I tried ALL of the allowed content types, but no matter what I see 406 response. I tried with curl, postman, chrome's network tool, powershell, and they all give the same result. It works if I'm logged in and using the regular (non-public) route, but the public API seems broken here. Location fields

I am new to this list and am a retired software developer with 40+ years of experience. I am a volunteer at the Sacramento FamilySearch Center. We have recently implemented Koha for our Center. We wanted a way to keep track of the PDF scans of the books we have that are not available online. Most are copy protected and we have scanned them for two reasons: 1) For preservation so that we can look at the PDF instead of having the book be handled by patrons as many are really old and 2) So we can easily search in the book as we have run OCR software on the PDFs, this greatly increases their usefulness for doing family history research. There is no access to our Koha or the PDFs outside of our physical center at this point. We are hoping to someday allow this but want to be very sure we do not violate any copyrights. We have all the books we have PDFs for. I am hoping someone can explain to me how we the location fields are handled. Specifically, I have tried using the Koha->Marc mapping to map (c) to 952$c and also to 999$c but the location or permanent_location fields don’t get changed. Rather, the more_subfields_xml field gets written. I thought changing this field would modify the items.location field or permanent_location field. The Koha wiki, https://wiki.koha-community.org/wiki/Holdings_data_fields_(9xx), says the items.location field should be written. We are running Koha 23.05.05 <https://koha-community.org/> on Ubuntu 22.05LTS Server virtual machine. We have MariaDB and Apache2 also running on this same Ubuntu server. Thanks Charles L.
