Hello, I've just installed Koha 2.0.0-pre1 to try z39.50 search. I did not find any place to specify a search term as well as z39.50 server. I did the following for a z39.50 search: - Run z3950-daemon-launch.sh - Go to Intranet site - Go to Acquisition page - Click the link "Add biblio without ISBN/ISSN" - Click the link "z3950 search" Now a window poppep up with the message 'Still ?? requests to go'... It does not seem to search any z39.50 server, even Library of Congress z39.50 server (the one listed in tables z3950servers). Am I missing something? What does the current z39.50 client do? Translating KOHA

I'm currently setting up KOHA for the centre for further training at my university and for the staff to be able to feed the database, I have to translate at least parts of the interface to German. What is the recommended way to translate KOHA? Are there any "tools" available? In the mailing list archive I read about a previous effort to translate KOHA to German, but I couldn't find any related packages. Has it been cancelled? -- Christian Hennecke

Hi again......most/all libraries here use "codabar" or "code39" symbologies for both patrons &/or collection....after all, the bar-code is only a numerical record number for each book/patron.....so within any circulation system there would be a 'data field' for that 'number'/record. Strange Problem

Hello Every body there a problem occured to my koha server yesterday . the system ( Koha ) did not work from any other machine on the LAN , but from the server itself , it's working proberly . It's not a prblem of connection or TCP/IP configuration. I think it's a problem of Apatche because somtimes it opens the default page of apache instead of koha mainpage.pl and then I had to restart the Httpd service. befor this problem , the system was working perfectly . Since this question seems to come up quite often (and there seems to be a general misconception that the ILS has to somehow "work with" scanners), I wonder if there shouldn't be some general information about barcode scanners added to the Koha webpage? Though I would hate to add one more thing to the long FAQ page. Maybe it's also time to subdivide the FAQ page into categories?
