Migrate all Koha data from old server to new server

Hi all, We ae running Koha on a dodgy spare desktop that we scrounged up, now we have a nice shiny Dell server to run it on. What is the easiest method of transferring the data from the old server to the new server? (Using Koha 2.2.4 on both servers.) I'm guessing that all I have to do is install Koha on the new server (meet prerequisites etc) and move across the MySQL data to the new server. Am I missing something critical? Thanks, Greg

Some migration issues

Dear Koha Lovers / Koha Community I have installed Koha's new version (2.2.7) on Windows XP. My previous data is on an MS Access Database. I am in the process of migration data from MS Access by using MARCEdit. I have mapped my fields according to the MARC Format. Now I want to use my Accession Number as Barcode in Koha because that is the primary key for my bibliographic records. Is there any way to import all my accession numbers (I am mapping this on 001 field of MARC) into barcode field of items table of koha? Also I am trying to learn MARC from LOC website but unfortunately, 9xx fields are not available at loc, are these fields obsleted? Adding MARC fields

I want to add some different MARC fields that are not part of the default to 2.2.6. Is there a way to do this? I already know about the " + " sign to repeat fields that are part of the default new biblio record, but I want to know if there's a way, for example, to add an 050 field. Thanks for any responses! Arabic Translation of Koha

Hello everyone, I've been recently working on translating Koha to Arabic, however I can across this article on Wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Koha_(software) ) that says that Koha was already translated to Arabic. I didn't see any arabic PO files in the main Koha distribution though. So I just want to know if Koha was translated to Arabic or not, and if it was translated then where is the Arabic PO file. bulkmarcimport and different framework

Hi, I want to use the bulkmarcimport script to import records using a new biblio framework I created for my library's multimedia collection and not the default biblio framework I use for the rest of the collection. I don't see any way to specify this in the command. Is this possible to do?

Net-Z3950 install fails

Hi, I am proceeding through a fresh install from scratch of Koha/2.2.8 At the stage of installing Bet-Z3950, I get the following error: CPAN.pm: Going to build M/MI/MIRK/Net-Z3950-0.51.tar.gz ERROR: Unable to call script 'yaz-config': is YAZ installed? at Makefile.PL line 12. I have install yaz on the system: /usr/share/doc/yaz-doc /usr/share/doc/yaz-doc/yaz.pdf.gz /usr/share/doc/yaz-doc/yaz.html /usr/share/doc/libyaz /usr/lib/libyaz.so.2.0.1 /usr/lib/libyaz.so.2 Any idea what went wrong? Question about Amazon content

Hello Folks, I'm running Koha for a small collective of libraries and I'm considering turning on the Amazon content. Most of our users are likely to want to use Amazon.ca rather than Amazon.com and I'm wondering if anyone knows if we can use an Amazon.ca associate ID or does Koha only connect with amazon.com (therefore needing to use the amazon.com associate programme)?
