z39.50 targets in France

Sorry, sent this the first time from the wrong address. Hope you don't get it twice. Does anyone have any good z39.50 targets in France. At least half our library are books published in France and entering then in manually is getting tedious. I've found that the National Library of Scotland runs an excellent target for books published in the UK, and the Library of Congress target is good for many technical books, but I can't get a response out of any of the targets I've tried in France. Any help would be appreciated. Best regards Nigel

Win 9.x/ME/NT4.0/2000/XP Build - Update

Hi all An update on the progress of a complete install package for windows. I have now got Apache and MySQL into one package and installing onto windows system. Installation places apps in the following directories c:\Program Files\Apache\ c:\Progarm Files\MySQL\ c:\Program Files\Koha\ Appache web pages are server from c:\www What I now would like for anyone that has configured Appache for windows is a cample of the conf file for appache settings. I would like to see how you have set this up to handle Opac etc. If you are willing to share your config file with me please email it so I can have a look. I am now working on setting MySQL up so the Koha Data can be held in the Koha directory. This would give just one directory to back up all data. I hope to release the Apache/MySQL version some time next week. I look forward to any comment you may have. Regards Jeff Williams

Dear People I'm testing Koha 1.2rc3-Win32 that have downloaded from the Win-Koha site. After a lot of problems for registering the extra-modules for Active State-Perl I have Koha working. I have tested that could add new records, could search for them, but inside some options doesn't work. All windows Users I have commences on an installation for the windows platform. This installation will do the following when completed. 1. Install Apache server 2. Install MySQL Server 3.x 3. Install ActivePerl 4. Install Koha 5. Configure all products so they can be used with Koha. 6. Install Sample Data if required This installation will have a Full Install, Custom Install, Upgrade options. It is anticipated that the first beta will be available in about 3 weeks time. This size of the download will be approx 32Mb. Anyone interested in trying a beta please contact me. DO NOT uses this proposed beta on your production system. Windows installer Package

Rob Thanks for you comments re the installer. I have seen many opensource projects package up MySQL and Apache without problems. The one I have not seen is perl. I dont think there is an issue with placing them all in one package providing all remains open source. The installer I use is open and free Innosetup. One of the best installers around. I have just started developing/testing an installer for UltraVNC (remote support tool for Windows 9x,NT4,2000,ME,XP). I will start on the work to package everything up next week and get a sample ready for the three (Apache, MySQL and Perl group) to view. Regards Jeff

Problem with Date::Manip

I have installed Koha version 1.2.3 on Red Linux 8.0. I have installed Date::Manip by downlading the file DateManip-5.40.tar.gz from http://search.cpan.org <http://search.cpan.org/> and installed the module by perl Makefile.PL, make, make test, make install. Install problems Red Hat 8.0

I have a complete Red Hat 8.0 install. I have tried to install both version 1.2.3 and 1.9 and can't get past the Perl module install. The first module I tried to install, HTML::Template gives me the following error: HTML::Template->new() : Unknown or unmatched TMPL construct at /fake/path/for/non/file/template : line 7. at blib/lib/HTML/Template.pm line 2230. make: *** [test_dynamic] Error 255 /usr/bin/make test -- NOT OK Running make install make test had returned bad status, won't install without force I tried the Z3950 module install and got similar results. Have I missed something? My previous experience with linux is installing RPM's. I am trying to get this running for our small school (100 kids) library in the Queensland Sunshine Coast. If I can't get the prereqisites installed, I can't use the software. The school is currently running ALICE library software, but the extra licences are too expensive to put in extra terminals.
