Migrate all Koha data from old server to new server

Hi all, We ae running Koha on a dodgy spare desktop that we scrounged up, now we have a nice shiny Dell server to run it on. What is the easiest method of transferring the data from the old server to the new server? (Using Koha 2.2.4 on both servers.) I'm guessing that all I have to do is install Koha on the new server (meet prerequisites etc) and move across the MySQL data to the new server. Am I missing something critical? Thanks, Greg

error when creating database

Hi, this is my first time to installing koha on linux platform, so I'm a newbie. I'm using ubuntu linux ver. 2.12.1. I already finish my "apt-get" installation followed by the additional perl modules using MCPAN install. My library is waiting on Koha 3.0 to upgrade because we have several bugs within our installation that I have unfortunately not been able to find any documentation on, and when I have posted them to the list no one has given any feedback on them, and we are hoping that 3.0 would provide fixes for them. You said Koha would not be ready for April 15th, do you have any idea what a realistic estimate is? That information would be very helpful for me, as our server tech wants to make upgrading a summer project. Barcode Issue

Hello Everyone... I know that I've posted something about this before and I have yet to get a resolution for this issue... When I try to print out my Barcodes, I'm still getting the following error: The server encountered an internal error and was unable to complete your request. Error message: Premature end of script headers: barcodesGenerator.pl If you think this is a server error, please contactthe webmaster. fines2.pl

Hello everyone, I've been beating my head into the wall (on and off) for about a month trying to get the fines2.pl script to work properly. The error is as follows: DBD::mysql::st execute failed: Table 'Koha.categoryitem' doesn't exist at /var/www/html/koha/intranet/modules/C4/Circulation/Fines.pm line 156. DBD::mysql::st fetchrow_hashref failed: fetch() without execute() at /var/www/html/koha/intranet/modules/C4/Circulation/Fines.pm line 157. I'm the System Administrator, and the head librarian would very much like to have fines working properly. I did some research and Google reveals that at some point during the development of Koha (over the past year I believe) fines2.pl was broken because Koha.categoryitem was removed/changed. Other than this Koha is working great for us. If you need any more information please let me know, and thanks in advance for any help you can give us on this. Anyone willing to comment on the status of 3.0? I have a library that is looking at starting a move to an ILS and it seems to me that if the 3.0 stream of Koha is going to be on time (Aprli 15) as per the road map that it would be wise to wait for that release. Any comments appreciated. T

patches for opac-searc

Hi, I've found a bug in opac search. After searching for "Recent acquisitions" the parameter "desc_or_asc" contains the number of day for the search. After the display of the first page of results, the link to other next/previous/page_number pages do not contains this parameter and the continuation list fail! So I've patched opac-search.pl to call the template with the good arg, and I've patched fr/opac-searchresult.tmpl to display good links. (Sorry don't patche English version...)
