problems with Koha

I'm curios of Koha and I'm triyng to make it work. I have problems with some procedures. I post the logs of the http server (Apache) if any of you can help me or direct me where I can find solutions. Consider I'm ignorant of perl. This is the /var/log/httpd/error-log log when displayng a search result. Hi, Thanks for that info. Accounts and Text-Terminals

Hallo, I have two questions: 1. how can I manage user-accounts to charge fees for to late returnals. Our library charges a fee per day of late returnal. 2. We need to use text-terminals for our old computers. Will they be supported in the next versions of Koha? Reserves

I have a question about how reserves work in Koha: I know from discussions with Chris that Koha handles titles in a particularly efficient manner, storing all distinct titles separately from the actual bibliographic records. So the entry from the master list might be: The Two Towers and that might encompass: The Two Towers (c. 1965) The Two Towers (c. 2002) The Two Towers (audiocasstte) When placing reserves, a patron searching for the book version of The Two Towers would usually be satisfied by either the 1965 or the 2002 versions, even though technically speaking they should have separate MARC records because they're different editions. In Koha is there a way to reserve "any copy of any book version of this title," or must you pick an edition and then reserve "any copy of this edition?" -- Owen

replacement price

We have been trying to convert our library to Koha. Each time I catalogue a book, I search for MARC records, the NEW RECORD appears, I SUBMIT QUERY and then a screen appears that has a place for barcode, home branch, replacement price and notes. I enter the replacement price and scan the barcode that is in the book and it says I have entered the book. My problem is that the Repalcemant Price is not saved. When I go into the CATALOGUE and scan the barecode and the results appear, the replacement cost always reads 0. How can I get the replacement price to save? I'd appreciate any help in this matter. Maybe this is obvious, but your message makes me want to say: What does it matter what the classroom machines are? All you need to worry about is the server. z3950 daemon won't launch

Hi all, I'm having a bit of trouble getting the z3950 daemon to launch. I fire up the launch script, and then run ps to see if I've got a process, but it seems to disappear rather quickly (i.e., before I can check for it). Hi all, I was on a track to load Linux and Koha on a stand alone machine in my classroom. I now wonder if I should be considering using Khoa with Windows. It would be much simpler for me that way if there is experience that says it will work. I am part of an Intranet that has servers that are Windows 2000 and my classroom machines are all Windows 95 or 98. I could upgrade to 2000 easily. One recent post mentioned difficulty with making Khoa run smoothly on windows. The most recent post seemed to offer assistance in loading Koha for Windows. Feedback please.
