My library is waiting on Koha 3.0 to upgrade because we have several bugs within our installation that I have unfortunately not been able to find any documentation on, and when I have posted them to the list no one has given any feedback on them, and we are hoping that 3.0 would provide fixes for them. You said Koha would not be ready for April 15th, do you have any idea what a realistic estimate is? That information would be very helpful for me, as our server tech wants to make upgrading a summer project. Victor J Kinzer koha-request@lists.katipo.co.nz wrote:

Anyone willing to comment on the status of 3.0? I have a library that is looking at starting a move to an ILS and it seems to me that if the 3.0 stream of Koha is going to be on time (Aprli 15) as per the road map that it would be wise to wait for that release.
Any comments appreciated.

In fact, the roadmap is a bit outdated, my fault of course :-). 3.0 won't be ready by April 15th, but the perl-zoom plugin will be.

Hi Victor, I'm not sure what bugs you're referring to, but they might be fixed in the up-and-coming 2.2.6 that will be released sometime in April Also, you can try updating to the latest CVS as well. (you'll find documentation on the kohadocs.org website for how to do that). Another alternative is to purchase support from one of the many Koha companies: http://koha.org/support/pay.html Of course, if you were paying to have something fixed, that would guarantee it would get done and be included in the next release. Almost without exception, new features and bugfixes are sponsored by a library who needed them -- now's your change to give back to this community :-) Sincerely, -- Joshua Ferraro VENDOR SERVICES FOR OPEN-SOURCE SOFTWARE President, Technology migration, training, maintenance, support LibLime Featuring Koha Open-Source ILS jmf@liblime.com |Full Demos at http://liblime.com/koha |1(888)KohaILS On Fri, Mar 31, 2006 at 01:37:49PM -0500, GLBT Library wrote:
