Hi all, Just a heads up to the Koha community that LibLime was selected as a mentor for the Google Summer of Code program. We've got a few ideas defined already, but are certainly open to additional suggestions: http://wiki.liblime.com/doku.php?id=googlesummerofcodeideas So if you've got a neat koha-related project that's doable in a three month period by a student or group of students, let us know. And of course, if you happen to be a student, we'd love to have you involved. You can select from one of the ideas above, or come up with something completely new ... More info about the program and the application process is available at the Google Summer of Code site: http://code.google.com/soc The deadline is fast approaching so get those applications in. I am currently having a student who started to translate Koha interface into Farsi/Dari as building an Afghan ILS project. See http://kohadev.library.arizona.edu/cgi-bin/koha/opac-main.pl I just noticed that Koha has a translation page http://translate.koha.org/. What I am currently doing is to have the student to translate tmpl pages in OPAC directory. Of course, I would like to contribute to the project. There are two issues: 1. there is no interface listed for Farsi/Dari. 2. I am thinking to complete the translation in a few months. By working on tmpl files, I am confident to get this done before the deadline. If using the translation manager, I am not sure about the distribution and other factors that may delay my implementation. Could anyone explain how the translation files (packages, I assume that the translation will generate new tmpl files, right?) work ? In other words, if I have the student switched to using the translation manager, how can I have the translation files (packages) on time? Yan Han Systems Librarian The University of Arizona
There is an interface for Farsi/Dari (under persian). So question 1 is solved. Waiting someone who can answer question 2.
