I am currently having a student who started to translate Koha interface into Farsi/Dari as building an Afghan ILS project. See http://kohadev.library.arizona.edu/cgi-bin/koha/opac-main.pl I just noticed that Koha has a translation page http://translate.koha.org/. What I am currently doing is to have the student to translate tmpl pages in OPAC directory. Of course, I would like to contribute to the project. There are two issues: 1. there is no interface listed for Farsi/Dari. 2. I am thinking to complete the translation in a few months. By working on tmpl files, I am confident to get this done before the deadline. If using the translation manager, I am not sure about the distribution and other factors that may delay my implementation. Could anyone explain how the translation files (packages, I assume that the translation will generate new tmpl files, right?) work ? In other words, if I have the student switched to using the translation manager, how can I have the translation files (packages) on time? Yan Han Systems Librarian The University of Arizona
