Sip Field PI
by Colin Campbell 01 Apr '10

01 Apr '10

The Koha sip implementation returns a field PI described in one comment as 'Custom protocol extension to report patron internet privileges', in another as an unknown extension and in a third as 'Envisionware extension'. There appears to be no code elsewhere to set this (Sip returns Y for a valid patron N otherwise). Does anyone know of any code using this or is it a software fossil? -- Colin Campbell Chief Software Engineer, PTFS Europe Limited Content Management and Library Solutions +44 (0) 208 366 1295 (phone) +44 (0) 7759 633626 (mobile) colin.campbell(a)ptfs-europe.com skype: colin_campbell2 http://www.ptfs-europe.com

Help with setting up information to be displayed by catalog search
by Joe Ellis 31 Mar '10

31 Mar '10

Hello Koha listers, I have been trying to help a librarian at a small school here in Connecticut transition to KOHA from a really old system called Winnebago. I have managed to export her records in MARC format and to import them into KOHA. However there are 2 problems she needs help with. First I need to know how I can get the search result to show the Dewey Decimal Number for the books in the catalog. I know the data loaded when I transferred the records, at least I confirmed the data was in the file I loaded. Next, when she searches for a book it says the number available is zero regardless of the number of volumes she may have. How do I get KOHA to show the correct number on hand? Any suggestions will be appreciated, thanks. Joe Ellis Canterbury, CT.
