Dear all i am trying to create patron card with barcode and insert the cardnumber, surname, firstname, title, streetnumber, address, city, zipcode in data fild (Home <http://127.0.0.1:8001/cgi-bin/koha/mainpage.pl> › Tools<http://127.0.0.1:8001/cgi-bin/koha/tools/tools-home.pl>› Labels <http://127.0.0.1:8001/cgi-bin/koha/labels/label-home.pl> › Edit Label Layout) option in lable layout Then try to generate lable but patron lable is not generted only white pdf file is opened. Extracting authorities from Biblios

Hello, We are currently using Koha 3.0.5 but we have not been using authorities and we would like to start using them. Is there a way to extract authorities from existing Biblios? Doing some searches on the Internet I saw some posts talking about an script "migration_tools/auth_from_biblio.pl" that doesn't seem to exist anymore in Koha 3. Was it deprecated? Is there a new way of extracting auths (populating them) from biblios? Regards, Toni

Linux or Windows?

We're currently running Koha version 2.2.3 on Linux. We've had it for about three years and really like Koha! Now we're looking at upgrading. Is the Linux version or the Windows version better? We're a small K-12 school and don't have tech staff who know Linux well; however, Linux has run so well so far we've only needed help once to change some dates in the "sticky due date" field and were able to get help from some of you. (Thanks again!) The only reason we're thinking about Windows is because our tech staff would be able to help us more. Does Koha 3.0 run so smoothly on Linux we could get along without the tech help as we have so far? Thanks! For an unknown reason, i have stopped receiving messages from the koha mailing list. So i used another mail account to subscribe in this mailing list. Printing search results

Hello. We are are in the process of converting our library from a custom ILS to Koha. Although we have only had our proof-of-concept Koha instance running for a few months, I have already had two patrons ask if it was possible to print out search results as a bibliography (preferably in some standard format like MLA, Chicago, APA...). Has anyone customized Koha to print bibliographies based on search results, or does anyone have any suggestions for other ways we might meet our patrons' needs? We're also looking into extending the COinS functionality, so that our patrons could use Zotero (or another citation manager, I assume) to produce bibliographies, so if anyone would be willing to share any improvements to Biblio::GetCOinSBiblio for MARC21 flavor, we would be grateful. Never been in labels, before today. It looks really interesting as I play, however I do realize I made one bad mistake when I ran the web installer I deselected the label templates, which I think now would have been helpful. Is there an easy way to get the templates into my system now?

Hi Greg Thanks for your kind words and support, and for your curiosity. I'm not based in NZ despite the Maori, but I do have an appreciation of indiginous languages as I work for a training provider in Wales, UK, so thought it might be nice to try out a little of Koha's birth language, of which I now know 4 words ;-) We're still in the very early stages of Koha, and we haven't yet given our formal notice to quit to our current provider, but I'm doing this initial investigation so I know what options I've got.
