Re: [Koha] Creating original MARC records in Koha
From: "Amber Amland" <library@mountainviewics.org> Thank you!
I feel really dumb now. Why didn't I try that before? :)
You're not alone in not figuring that out easily. When a webpage has some content underlined and blue to indicate it's a hyperlink and other text in plain black text, there's a natural assumption that only the underlined text are links. I stared at that screen and tried many things before accidentally clicking on the none-underlined text and 'magically' opening a box for that MARC field. All the material on a page that *does* something when clicked on should probably be in the same format, whether underlined, blue, or whatever just to make it clear that it is clickable. Just MHO. We?re in the process of upgrading from 2.2.3 to 3.0 (which is very exciting!).? Cataloging in MARC looks different.? All the fields are the same, but how do you get them to expand (not add another one of the same thing) so you can type information in the box?? In the old Koha, all the boxes are there and you just fill in the ones you need.? I?m very confused! I can import MARC records and copy catalog, but I need to be able to create original records also.
Hi Amber
You just click on the label/words themselves (not the +) then they will expand
