Re: [Koha] Inability to Add/Edit Items 'withdrawn' vs 'wthdrawn' in Items.pm

Chris, Chris, Editing the sql fixed the problem! I also had to change the default value from null to zero, so it would take This is the version we are at: Koha 3.00.02.012. We haven't updated since we installed it back in March. We were looking at making use of the withdrawn field recently but I don't recall tweaking anything. The guy who works with me on Koha is on vacation. He may know the origins of this change. Thanks so much for solving this problem for us. Catalogers are very good company to keep when they cannot edit or add items. Looking at the kohastructure.sql document for the master branch, the column is called wthdrawn `wthdrawn` tinyint(1) NOT NULL default 0, Also looking in the 3.0.x branch http://git.koha-community.org/gitweb/?p=koha.git;a=blob;f=installer/data/my… It is `wthdrawn` tinyint(1) NOT NULL default 0, There too. > I am still however getting the error. Inability to Add/Edit Items 'withdrawn' vs 'wthdrawn' in Items.pm
by Christopher White 11 Aug '10

We have been unable to add or edit items. The problem only started recently. In the error log, it points to an "unknown column" 'wthdrawn' in Items.pm. I changed the string to 'withdrawn' which corresponds to the field in the items table. I am still however getting the error. Do I have to restart something? Is there any reason the perl script would use a different field name than the table? Here is the error message: additem.pl: DBD::mysql::st execute failed: Unknown column 'wthdrawn' in 'field list' at /usr/share/koha/lib/C4/Items.pm line 1915 The following is the intallation info: The installation info is below. Re: [Koha] Pick Lists in Add/Edit Item and Inability to Add/Edit Items
by Christopher White 11 Aug '10

Hi Owen, Thanks for your post. I now see that these pick lists are controlled by the Authorized Values Descriptions. I am trying to figure out why we cannot add or edit items. The thought occurred to me that some of these values could not be null. That does not appear to be the case. Pick Lists in Add/Edit Item and Inability to Add/Edit Items
by Christopher White 10 Aug '10

We noticed that text does not appear in some of the pick lists on our add /edit item page. Althouh no text appears, you can scroll down the lists and select a row but you can't tell what it is you are selecting. We believe that this problem is probably relate to a larger problem we are having, which is that we cannot add or edit items. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
