Please remember to hit 'reply to all' so that others on the list can help you. I personally know nothing of that release so I can't help. Official Koha releases can be found here: http://koha-community.org/download-koha/ and as I said 3.0.6 and 3.2 Beta do not have the issue you seem to be having. Maybe someone else on the list can help. [KOHA] How do I repeat the Web Installer Process again.
by Susan Mustafa 08 Aug '10

08 Aug '10

Hello Everyone, This may seem odd to some, but I need to repeat the web re-install of Koha from the beginning, this is after it successfully completed the first time? Why you ask. - Two versions of Koha (3.0 Production, 3.1 Development) - Koha 3.0 --Database Dump is in 3.0 structure I will go into webmin, delete the koha database of 3.1 and do an import of the 3.0 DUMP. Now this is where the [Web Installer] comes in, it has step 3 which [UPdates the structure of my Koha] to 3.1 without affecting my latest data. I tried going to http://127.0.1.1:8080/cgi-bin/koha/installer/install.plagain but it will not let me run it again. It knows it completed and finished the first time. Kindly help, Best Regards,

Trouble with public note display in OPAC
by Holly Hancock 08 Aug '10

08 Aug '10

I'm having a problem getting the Public Note field to display consistently in the OPAC. I'm entering serials as items on a single bib record and entering the issue date in the 952z field in Add Items. Some records display the Note field and some don't. Same procedure, same Serials template, different results. I'm running 3.00.06 on a VMWare appliance on a Windows platform. Owen asked: > Is the "raw" MARC view the one you prefer for this? As opposed to this one? > > http://catalog.bywatersolutions.com/cgi-bin/koha/opac-MARCdetail.pl?biblion… I far prefer the raw MARC view. The 952 field is not displayed as a normal MARC field in the "enhanced MARC" field, and if you're trying to troubleshoot a display problem in the OPAC, it's a lot easier to work with the raw MARC. It's probably true that most patrons don't use the MARC display, but on the other hand, I've never gotten a question about it from a patron, so they don't seem to be confused by it, either. The only problem we've run into with the raw MARC view is a bug in the display. Where the MARC displays as a centered pop up, if you close that box, it disables the "back" function in the browser. If you hit "Back" then you can back out of the raw display, but if you close it, you are now stuck in that record and need to do a new search. The html line that generates the centered display is: <a id="MARCviewPop" href="/cgi-bin/koha/opac-showmarc.pl?id=3255" title="MARC" rel="gb_page_center[600,500]">MARC View</a> I just tested in a bunch of other Koha catalogs. Some have the raw MARC as a centered pop-up, some have it as a normal full-page HTML display, and a lot of catalogs don't offer the raw MARC view from the OPAC at all. I don't know which catalogs are using which Koha version, but versions supported by both PTFS and Bywater had the centered pop-up, and both had the "no back button" bug as well. -- Stacy Pober Information Alchemist Manhattan College Library Riverdale, NY 10471 stacy.pober(a)manhattan.edu
