Subtitles (245b) not appearing in staff client
by Chris Hobbs 04 Aug '10

04 Aug '10

Our staff users are not seeing 245b subtitles in the staff client. They do appear in the OPAC. I'm assuming I've missed a config step, but can't find anything. Googling points me to the XSLT prefs, but those only appear in the OPAC section of the administration and are both On. Nothing in the Staff Client config area looks appropriate. Thanks in advance for the help! Chris -- This message was scanned by ESVA and is believed to be clean.

Display and Edit of items not working
by Terrance Wasielewski 04 Aug '10

Hello again: After we create an item, it says no items available for display. When we go to edit the item, the information doesn't show up? What's going on now and how do we rectify it. At present the order in which labels are printed is determined by the order in which they are entered into the batch. There is no quick and easy way to reorder the printing of them. However, you could open an enhancement request at bugs.koha-community.org for such a feature. Kind Regards, Chris

Alison, The label maker has been completely re-written for 3.2 and it fixed a bunch of bugs. In the label batch interface now I'm not seeing anything about sorting the labels in batches. Where is the tip you're reading? The new manual documentation on this feature is here: http://koha-community.org/documentation/3-2-manual/?ch=x4302#AEN4437 Sorry I can't be of more help. Printing label: "ordered by" drop down in version 3.1
by Alison C Graber 04 Aug '10

Hi Everyone, I am confused by an issue in printing barcode labels using the tools function in Koha. I am using the Koha version hosted by LibLime so it is probably 3.1 or similar. They no longer list the specific version. Anyway I want to print barcode labels in order by the item call number. I found the following information in the manuals that state: Under Creating a New Batch there is a tip that states: order your results using the "ordered by" dropdown menu. Options are title, author, dewey, publication year, itemtype, item call number. I don't see that drop down anywhere in the process to generate a batch of items for labels. What am I missing? Or am I misinterpreting this statement. Thanks in advance. Have a great day. Alison Alison Graber, Ed.D. hidelostitems not working in koha 3.2 beta
by Joseph Faneuf 04 Aug '10

04 Aug '10

Hello Koha community, I have set hidelostitems to lost items on search and detail pages. I then set some items to "lost" in the staff client and I have even run Sync-Items-In-Marc-Bib and have Re-Index-Zebra and the staff client shows 1 item none available, and the opac shows no items available, instead of just hiding the listing completely. Any Ideas? - Joe Joseph Faneuf Tech Support Specialist Narragansett Regional School District Baldwinville, MA
