Hi Galen and all, I'm wondering if we could get an update on the status of 3.2 I just saw that Chris suggested it might be stable enough for someone to use in production. Does that mean it will be the official release soon? As I recall, the estimate for release was just 3-4 weeks and that was at ALA (end of June).....so, any ETA? Lori

I can't speak for how soon the stable release will be, but here we have been running what will become 3.2 stable for quite a few months without problems. I know there are several other libraries doing this as well. Some in New Zealand... Kind Regards, Chris

Yep, Horowhenua Library Trust are running it at their 3 branches, and there are 2 others in NZ running it as well. A release candidate is due out very soon .. having been release manager before, and going to be it again for 3.4.0, I know how time consuming and hard it is, so totally understand that dates are targets to aim for, not absolutes. And I'm just going to take this opportunity to thank Galen, who has been working tirelessly on it. Chris
Big love for Galen from me too. Still, inquiring minds want to know. ;) On Mon, Aug 16, 2010 at 11:50 AM, Chris Cormack <chris@bigballofwax.co.nz>wrote:

In the last IRC meeting, we were aiming for a release Candidate by Monday, if that goes well, and no major bugs found then a release would follow soon after. And we all know why this release took a while, so Im not going to go over that :) Chrs
Monday! Sweeeet. Yes, let's not rehash. I'm hoping that a new day dawns as of Release 3.2 Sincerely, Polly Anna On Mon, Aug 16, 2010 at 12:04 PM, Chris Cormack <chris@bigballofwax.co.nz>wrote:

Just to chime in, CCFLS has been using a locally tweaked 3.2 in production since June 1st. All is going well. :) Regards, Cindy ---------------------------------------- Cindy Murdock Ames IT Director, CCFLS, Meadville Public Library http://ccfls.org | http://meadvillelibrary.org
