Hello All, When testing koha 3.16.01 SIP using telnet by trying to run this command 2300120080623 172148AOCL|AA123456|ACsipstation01|ADbadpassword we get the following result 24YYYY YY 00120141224 055624AE???? ????|AA123456|AFGreetings from Koha. where (???? ????) is an Arabic name of the user, We are asking why the Arabic names appear as question marks. Thanks.

Biblios with no items

Hello everyone, I have 2 questions about having biblio records that have no items attached: 1. I've run the report that yields the biblionumber and title of those records with no items. What is the best way for me to actually delete those biblio records from my Koha environment? I'm hoping there is a way to do them in bulk and not one at a time? 2. What is the "proper" way to delete items and their biblios going forward? We've been just deleting the items, but is there a better way to delete both the item(s) and the biblio record at the same time? Or is it always a 2-step process? Hope this makes sense. We are running the package version of 3.16.02 on Debian in case that's important to this conversation. THANK YOU! Steve

Label creator error

I'm running 3.18 and have a problem with my label creator incorrectly splitting call numbers. I'm using the Reference collection code and adding REF to the head of each call number for the items. Call numbers are populated by the data in the 050 field. Not all the call numbers on the label, but most, come out similar to this: REF .H D1401 M2 2002 I am not sure what is going on. Inventory/ shelf-reading

Koha's inventory utility is handy but seems to be missing one critical element, namely the ability to flag items out of call number order. The utility also does not generate a downloadable file. This means copying & pasting the results into a spreadsheet & some rather tedious data clean-up to get workable data. Has anyone come up with a streamlined method for using the inventory tool to help identify mis-shelved items? I'm on the verge of getting into writing a macro, but my VBA skills are very rusty & I'm always happy to avoid reinventing the wheel. For what it's worth, we're not looking to get too fine-grained here. We're not too concerned with titles out of order, for example, within an author. We're really looking for authors out of order. Koha 3.18 - Label Creator - Call number volume statement displaying as "0"?

Hi everyone, Koha: 3.18.1 Ubuntu 12.04 I am attempting to set-up my label template (using Avery 9576 labels), and in doing so I've noticed that all items exported as PDF which have a volume statement in the call number (Koha field: "enumchron") is displaying as "0" rather than the anticipated "v.1, v.2..." etc. (see attached for an example). I have my template set to: Code 39 Biblio And call number fields to print set to 1. itemcallnumber 2. enumchron 3. copynumber Has anyone experienced this? If so, can this be fixed? Many thanks! Open a terminal and open following file, sudo su leafpad /usr/share/koha/intranet/cgi-bin/installer/data/mysql/ updatedatabase.pl Search > Jump To > 7985 Find the line $dbh->{RaiseError} = 1; Change the value 1 to 0. Dear All, I have upgraded from koha 3.14 to koha 3.16. I am having some problem in Acquisition. After upgradation I am not getting option in acquisition which item I want to receive from selected basket. I am getting directly Receipt summary for *TEST * *Invoice number:* frc124 *Received by:* admin *On:* 09/12/2014 Pending orders There are no pending orders.
