Hi Sami, I'm running koha 3.18 on debian wheezy (7) installed via apt-get install koha-common. I got a little farther following http://kohageek.blogspot.com/2013/09/how-to-setup-plugin-system-in-koha.htm… He said that the lines in koha-conf.xml need to go before the last </config> line near the end of the file and the Alias /plugin/ line should go at the end of library file in /etc/apache2/sites-available. Once I got the updates in the proper place and enabled UseKohaPlugins, _Tools Plugins_ appeared on the Tools page as did _Report Plugins_ on the Reports page which was as described in Chapter 14 of the 3.18 manual. However there was no Plugins option under the More menu in the tool bar. When I went to Tools->Tools Plugins I expected to be able to upload some of the Bywater Solutions sample plugins. overdue notice lists all checked out books

Hi, I noticed this after upgrading to 3.18.1 (from 3.16). If a patron has overdue items, they receive the overdue notice, but the list of overdue items includes all the books they have checked out, not only the overdue ones. I also get this error on the cron run, not sure if it's related: Use of uninitialized value $borrowernumber in string eq at /usr/share/koha/bin/cronjobs/overdue_notices.pl line 544. Installed on Debian from the koha repositories.

Unique item fields

Some of you may remember that I asked a while back about where you set MARC fields to have unique entries, as in the case of barcodes. The setting is in Acquisitions system preferences in 3.18. Still not sure where that's found in 3.06 anymore. In 3.18, the default is set to barcode with the option to add more fields separated by spaces. So, I've added notes from the biblio table. Is this going to break anything? Does anyone else have more than one unique entry field? Regarding the overdue fines calculation

Dear All, Some of our library members overdue fines are not getting calculated by koha. We have also set the crontab which runs on daily basis. We are using koha 3.02 installed on opensuse 12 and facing below issue when i manually run the script of fines.pl *No branchcode argument to new. Should be C4::Calendar->new(branchcode => $branchcode) at fines.pl <http://fines.pl> line 135* Any help regarding the issue will be greatfull. Thanks in advance.

Help- Regarding Circulation Rules with Item Types.

Need Suggestions for : New Item Type or New Koha Instance. Background- Our Library has following scenario : Patrons: categorized as: 1. Regular (General) Students & 2. Backward Category Students. Collections: Two set of collections are maintained, 1. General Stocks - for ALL Students. (including backward category) 2. Book Bank ( Special Collections ONLY for Backward Category Students) Circulation Rules: 1. Regular Students can borrow books only from General Stocks but not from Book Bank. 2. Backward Category Students can barrow books from both General Stocks and Book Bank Currently, check-in/check-out is by providing separate backward student id card along with regular common id card. My Questions is: Can above said Circulation criteria be fulfilled either by creating a new Item Type - "Book Bank" and adding records to it, along with default item type : Books and then create a circulation rules for both the item types. OR New Instance of Koha (separate database) for Book Bank Library to be created (along with existing one for general stocks)? At present, I have completed updating bibliorecords for the General Stocks and used to issue-return books from General Stock (for Regular + Backward students). But, I am not sure about, proceeding for accommodating only backward students category for getting books from Book Bank Library through koha. Site Koha does not exist

Hi I have Installed Ubuntu 14.0 LTS but I am unable to install Koha. Every time I get the message Site Koha does not exist. As per the details given in the Koha documentation I have done all the steps correctly but still I don't ko where I am wrong. Kindly help me in resolving the issue. Thanks M. Anil Kumar

3.18 & high CPU utilisation

Dear all, Has anyone noticed much higher CPU utilisation after upgraded to 3.18? Since our upgrade from 3.16, our CPU utilisation is constantly around 80% instead of the 20% when running the previous version. This is also after we changed from GRS1 to DOM indexing. Nothing else have changed as far as the system settings are concerned. We still have javascript in place to stop Google robot trolling our OPAC (same script as from 3.16). This morning, we couldn't even access Koha due to this issue!
