Change availability display on the OPAC search result
by Iming Chan 30 Dec '14

30 Dec '14

Dear all, We are running 3.18.01. I'm looking to change availability display on the OPAC search result and delighted to found a JQuery to do this ( http://wiki.koha-community.org/wiki/JQuery_Library#Change_Availability_Disp… ). However, I discovered a problem after apply the JQuery as is. "Libraries with copies available (0)" is showing in the "Status" column (Holdings tab in full item detail) instead just "Available". While, there is no problem with the availability display on the search result. I managed to change to show "*Available*" under "Status" column, but I found the availability display on the search result now display "Total Availability (Click title for details): *Available*". I prefer it just to read "Total Availability (Click title for details)". How do I remove the status from being displayed as part of the availability display on the search result? Your assistance with this is greatly appreciated. by Hillyard, Cecil 29 Dec '14

29 Dec '14

Hello, We are on Koha 3.16 and are looking into using the acquisitions function of "Add order to basket - from a staged file" We can get the total quantity of items to load (696$h) but not any branch breakdowns. We have 11 branches. Is anyone using this function who has multiple branches? _________________________ Cecil Hillyard Technical Services-- Cataloger Washoe County Library 301 S. Adding orders from staged files
by Hillyard, Cecil 29 Dec '14

29 Dec '14

Hello, We are looking into getting MARC vendor records and then using that file to add the orders to Koha. The vendor can provide branch breakouts and quantities for each branch. So we've been trying to use the add orders from a staged file. What happens is that we can get 1 item record for each in the total quantity but no branch breakouts. In what MARC field does that particular ordering information go into? We have put the branch information in the 952 field but that did nothing. The total quantity is in 969$h _________________________ Cecil Hillyard Technical Services-- Cataloger Washoe County Library Reno, NV 89501 https://library.washoecounty.us<https://library.washoecounty.us/>

Hi All, I am facing issue in fine calculation using Koha. Fine is not getting calculated by the system so it is very difficult for us to find out those transaction for which fines are not getting calculated. Use of qw(...) as parentheses is deprecated at /opt/kohaclone/C4/Serials.pm line 693. No branchcode argument to new. Should be C4::Calendar->new(branchcode => $branchcode) at /opt/kohaclone/misc/cronjobs/fines.pl line 135. writing to /tmp/koha_2014-12-24.log Kindly let us know what action to perform to avoid this issue and calculate fine automatically. -- *Warm Regards,Vishal Patil*

Biblios with no items
by Steven Nickerson 23 Dec '14

23 Dec '14

Hello everyone, I have 2 questions about having biblio records that have no items attached: 1. I've run the report that yields the biblionumber and title of those records with no items. What is the best way for me to actually delete those biblio records from my Koha environment? I'm hoping there is a way to do them in bulk and not one at a time? 2. What is the "proper" way to delete items and their biblios going forward? We've been just deleting the items, but is there a better way to delete both the item(s) and the biblio record at the same time? Or is it always a 2-step process? Hope this makes sense. We are running the package version of 3.16.02 on Debian in case that's important to this conversation. THANK YOU! Steve

Label creator error
by cjwalke 23 Dec '14

23 Dec '14

I'm running 3.18 and have a problem with my label creator incorrectly splitting call numbers. I'm using the Reference collection code and adding REF to the head of each call number for the items. Call numbers are populated by the data in the 050 field. Not all the call numbers on the label, but most, come out similar to this: REF .H D1401 M2 2002 I am not sure what is going on. Thanks. -- View this message in context: http://koha.1045719.n5.nabble.com/Label-creator-error-tp5823113.html Sent from the Koha-general mailing list archive at Nabble.com.
