Record matching rules setup for the 024
by Hillyard, Cecil 16 Dec '14

16 Dec '14

Hello, I've been trying to set up record matching rules for the 024 using the following : Match point 1 1. Search index: Identifier-other 2. Score: 1000 Matchpoint components 1. Tag: 024 2. Subfields: a 3. Offset: 0 4. Length: 0 5. Normalization rule: Identifier-other However, it does not work. Records I am importing do not find matches and I know that some of the records in the small batch of records I am trying to import do have the same 024s. We are on Koha 3.16.03 _________________________ Cecil Hillyard Technical Services-- Cataloger Washoe County Library Reno, NV 89501 https://library.washoecounty.us<https://library.washoecounty.us/>

Disable search in certain tag fields of MARC records during search
by Dibyendra Hyoju 16 Dec '14

16 Dec '14

Hi all, I was looking at Koha preferences to disable searching in the certain tag fields of MARC records on OPAC, for instance I was trying to disable searching in 037 tag field, but couldn't find preferences to do that. If there are such preferences, please kindly suggest. Thank you. Regards, Dibyendra Hyoju

Re: [Koha] Can't enable Plugins
by Bob Ewart 15 Dec '14

15 Dec '14

Hi Sami, I'm running koha 3.18 on debian wheezy (7) installed via apt-get install koha-common. I got a little farther following http://kohageek.blogspot.com/2013/09/how-to-setup-plugin-system-in-koha.htm… He said that the lines in koha-conf.xml need to go before the last </config> line near the end of the file and the Alias /plugin/ line should go at the end of library file in /etc/apache2/sites-available. Once I got the updates in the proper place and enabled UseKohaPlugins, _Tools Plugins_ appeared on the Tools page as did _Report Plugins_ on the Reports page which was as described in Chapter 14 of the 3.18 manual. However there was no Plugins option under the More menu in the tool bar. When I went to Tools->Tools Plugins I expected to be able to upload some of the Bywater Solutions sample plugins. This is what I got: > Undefined subroutine &main::/var/lib/koha/bobsown/plugins called at (eval 1828) line 2. > ...propagated at /usr/share/perl/5.14/base.pm line 93. > BEGIN failed--compilation aborted at /usr/share/perl5/Authen/CAS/Client/Response.pm line 68. > Compilation failed in require at /usr/share/perl5/Authen/CAS/Client.pm line 8. > BEGIN failed--compilation aborted at /usr/share/perl5/Authen/CAS/Client.pm line 8. > Compilation failed in require at /usr/share/koha/lib/C4/Auth_with_cas.pm line 25. > BEGIN failed--compilation aborted at /usr/share/koha/lib/C4/Auth_with_cas.pm line 25. > Compilation failed in require at /usr/share/koha/lib/C4/Auth.pm line 60. > BEGIN failed--compilation aborted at /usr/share/koha/lib/C4/Auth.pm line 84. > Compilation failed in require at /usr/share/koha/intranet/cgi-bin/plugins/plugins-home.pl line 26. > BEGIN failed--compilation aborted at /usr/share/koha/intranet/cgi-bin/plugins/plugins-home.pl line 26. -- Bob Ewart Chapter 14 in the 3.18 koha manual needs to be updated to include /library/ where appropriate and to tell where the lines should be inserted. overdue notice lists all checked out books
by Yuval Hager 15 Dec '14

15 Dec '14

Hi, I noticed this after upgrading to 3.18.1 (from 3.16). If a patron has overdue items, they receive the overdue notice, but the list of overdue items includes all the books they have checked out, not only the overdue ones. I also get this error on the cron run, not sure if it's related: Use of uninitialized value $borrowernumber in string eq at /usr/share/koha/bin/cronjobs/overdue_notices.pl line 544. Installed on Debian from the koha repositories.
