Hello, I'm performing a pro-bono consulting in the Philippines and part of my job is to help enhancing a library, which currently uses Koha. This Library is mixed between physical material (circulation in use) and digital material, which are basically links to Google Drive repository. That being said, I would like to ask for some help about the following requirements: - Has anyone implemented Open URL for use of Open URL Referrer? - Has anyone implemented some kind on Federated Search? - Has anyone implemented ElasticSearch? - Has anyone implemented SMS notification with no cost (Email SMS perhaps)? - Has anyone implemented Facebook messenger to address questions to Librarians? I would really appreciate if anyone could share some details about the implementations. Koha 16.05 - Legacy Bibliographic Unique ID numbers mapped to Koha 999c/d?

Hi all, Koha 16.05 on Ubuntu 14.04, package install. A brief question about bibliographic record unique identifiers and importing records into an empty Koha instance: Is it advisable to map the unique ID numbers from a legacy system's bibliographic records to Koha 999c/d? I am attempting to find a way to connect our items database data to our bibliographics data once the latter has been uploaded to Koha. I imagine the best way to do this is to preserve the unique IDs (i.e., primary key in biblio, foreign key in items) from the legacy system, but I'm not quite sure how I should go about mapping this: should I go for Koha 999c/d, Marc 887, or some other field? Hy, Ayrton, I tested Elasticsearch in Koha 16.05 and a Debian 8.5 VM. Regarding Elasticsearch, I can say that it is an alpha version. You need to install Elasticsearch, and -see bug 16838 "Elasticsearch - mapping tables are not populated on new installs" - you need to "manually" populate search_* tables. Help regarding fine calculation report

Hi, Need help in refining the below query which is based on the query from SQL reports library. I need to add the following also to the query: 1. Using the below report Iam able to generate fine report for only returned items. I need to generate fine even for the items that are renewed and fine is generated. 2. Also in some cases the below query is not including the start date and end date. Anyone seen this before and have a solution? It's some kind of Apache permissions issue, but I'm not sure where. I gave the directory 755 and www-data permisions.. Forbidden You don't have permission to access / on this server. Search Sort by Title (A-Z) for non-Latin alphabets?

Hi, I was wondering if anyone has the Sort by Title (A-Z) working properly in Koha. Currently, any foreign language materials that have titles in languages that use non-Latin alphabets do not sort by title correctly. Here is an example OPAC search for Russian films: http://catalog.egarc.ku.edu/cgi-bin/koha/opac-search.pl?idx=kw&idx=kw&idx=k…. Koha seems to sort the results by character count ... but there is no alphabetizing at all. Two records with Вий as the title are listed as #3 and #6; with identical titles, they should be next to each other. I found this post (http://article.gmane.org/gmane.comp.misc.koha/19912/match=cyrillic+title) and I think it will do what we want. However, I am curious about other languages that are script-based (e.g., Mandarin, Korean, etc.) or that read Left-to-Right (e.g., Hebrew, Arabic, etc.). Is there some sort of catch-all to make this work? Or how are others addressing the issue? Creating Reports in Koha that sort by title do in fact alphabetize correctly, so it seems to be a limitation of the search/Zebra rather than Koha as a whole. Yup, Apache (out of the box, all versions that I can remember over the last two decades) denies access to root (" / ") -- anything else would be a huge security risk. So you don't have an Apache problem. And FYI, (you don't say what "directory" you're referring to), *most* (certainly all static) webpages should be 644. >Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an >ErrorDocument to handle the request. Z39.50 search window is not showing

When we click on the link add record under z39.50 from the following link http://koha.library.daffodilvarsity.edu.bd/cgi-bin/koha/cataloguing/addbibl… is not working. To reproduce the error: 1. Search for any title 2. Go to its bibliography 3. Click on new>New Record 4.
