Upgraded to 16.05 and can't retrieve Patrons by Surname

Hi, I upgraded to 16.05 from 3.18 this evening. After the upgrade, which seemed to work very well, I find that I can't lookup Patrons using either the Search facility searching on Surname, or clicking on one of the Alpha buttons (the retrieve all Patrons that start with "S" for example). I notice that there was an issue recorded already (ticket 14193) for this problem, which should have a fix included in the 16.05 release according to the documentation. Am I missing something here or should I roll back to the backup that I took prior to starting the upgrade? Regards, Tim Auld Northern Philatelic Library Minnesota. Ps. Actually this is a very common problem. We run into the same issue here, and unless we record the change in patron notes, we have no way to know the old number unless the patron recalls it. If they are on a deleted account, you should be able to run a report on the deletedborrowers table. Hi Admire, from looking at the patron card help page, I think it's not possible to print additional patron attributes at the moment. Maybe a workaround could be to use one of the statistic fields on the patron record for storing the information about the grade instead. Those fields can be turned into pull downs using the bsort1 and bsort2 authorised value categories. Due Date

Hello everyone, I have a problem of checkouts being a day only. For any material regardless of circulation and fine rule (14 days 28 days etc) the due date is one day or 24 hours only. I recently upgraded to Koha 16.05 from 3.22. Howdy!

Greetings, Koha Family! My name is Sam Crawford. I am the Academic Librarian (and currently Acting Director of Library Programs and Services) at Northern Marianas College in the U.S. territory of Saipan, Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands (CNMI). I'm fairly new to this profession and to Koha, and I find myself feeling occasionally daunted, not so much by the "How do I...?" questions, but more by the "Should I...?" questions. I long for guidance on general upkeep / maintenance (i.e., "Make sure you're doing 'x' every week") -- a check-list, of sorts, to make sure I'm taking care of this baby the way I should be. A list of suggested reports to create and/or run, to ensure the data is squeaky clean, would be ideal. At any rate, I'm looking forward to learning more about Koha, how to maximize its use, and how to make it better, with the help of this community and its various interest groups. Subject links in detail record display

Hi, all. I have a question regarding subject links in detail records. Subject links are treated differently in the detail display depending on whether OPACXSLTDetailsDisplay is set to "default" or left blank (no XSLT). Using no XSLT, each subject subdivision is a separate link. You can see an example at https://tantur.library.nd.edu/cgi-bin/koha/opac-detail.pl?biblionumber=1012 . In that example record, you can see the subject "Vatican Council -- (2nd : -- 1962-1965 : -- Basilica di San Pietro in Vaticano) -- Views on religious liberty." If you hover your mouse cursor over "Vatican Council", the search URL is https://tantur.library.nd.edu/cgi-bin/koha/opac-search.pl?q=su:Vatican%20Co… Hovering your mouse cursor over each subsequent subdivision ands the subdivision to the URL, so that you also get the search URLs https://tantur.library.nd.edu/cgi-bin/koha/opac-search.pl?q=su:Vatican%20Co…: https://tantur.library.nd.edu/cgi-bin/koha/opac-search.pl?q=su:Vatican%20Co…: and so on to https://tantur.library.nd.edu/cgi-bin/koha/opac-search.pl?q=su:Vatican%20Co…. Using OPACXSLTDetailsDisplay=default, no matter which subdivision you hover your mouse cursor over, the entire subject is searched. So here's the question: Is there a way to replicate the the behavior of the non-XSLT configuration, so that when OPACXSLTDetailsDisplay=default, I can still get the subjects broken into links for each subdivision? BTW, I've tried using TraceSubjectSubdivisions=Include, but it's all or nothing. When we issue a replacement card the patron gets a new library card number. Sometimes we realize a day or two later that we have to merge their old and new card numbers in Overdrive, the e-book system. Cannot start service apache 2

Dear All, I am installing koha on ubuntu 12 using package installation. But I cannot proceed to web installation because I am meeting the problems: When starting: service apache2 restarty.conf the error below pops up. Syntax error on line 5 of /etc/apache2/sites-enabled/library.conf: Invalid command '<IfVersion', perhaps misspelled or defined by a module not included in the server configuration Action 'configtest' failed. The Apache error log may have more information. ...fail! Hence I cannot proceed to create instance name of my library. Your assistance will be greatly appreciated. Johnstone Y. Patron Card Creator doesn’t work

I have a new installation of Koha 16.05 on Ubuntu 14.04. As far as I can see everything works, but the Patron Card Creator. I can print card but they don’t show no barcodes nor patron pictures. Instead the logo is printed a second time on place of the photo. Who can help? BTW, I think it’s a bug: i create a new patron and it seems as it would generate automatically a password but it does not send any e-mail to the new member. I have to generate the password by myself and then the e-mail is sending.

There is need for me to print the grade the pupil is in e.g. Grade 7B on the Patron ID Card. I intent to capture the grade the pupil is in using the extended attributes, instance using the field pupil_class.
