Error adding new records
by Blake Library 09 Aug '16

09 Aug '16

Hi all. I'm using Koha version 3.11.00.008 When I go into cataloguing and "Add new record" everything looks ok, but when I search for the record after saving I cannot find the data I entered. I can edit and delete items but there seems to be a problem with the records. Any ideas about where the problem might be - server, MySQL, Koha version bug? Have lots of books waiting to be added. Cheers Mark

North American Music Conservatories + Koha + public Z39.50?
by Craig Butosi 08 Aug '16

08 Aug '16

Hi all, Are there any North American music conservatories out there using Koha, and who have set their instance up as a public Z39.50 server? If so, I would love to swap connection information with you. I'll be checking IRSpy (http://irspy.indexdata.com/) very soon to see if I can find anything there. Many thanks, Craig Butosi, MA, MLIS, B Mus (Hons.) OAI-PMH
by Erlanda Simonyan 08 Aug '16

08 Aug '16

Dear list, Koha has 'OAI-PMH:MaxCount' in System Preferences which Only return 30 records(or more) at a time in response to a ListRecords or ListIdentifiers query. And if we fix 300 000 record for harvesting the server failed. How can we continuously harvest records from the OAI-PMH server? Thanks in advance,

Welcome intro

Hi, thanks for the add to the list. I have just started using koha to catalogue my private library (around 500 books ranging in date from 1700s to modern. Absolutely no thematic cohesion, just stuff I collect and read. When I get used to koha, I plan to set up an instance for our local village RSL sub-branch which runs a small military themed lending library. I have no library skills, but am an avid linux tinkerer and occasional sys admin and programmer. Just dropping by to say hi from Australia and thank you for a great ILS.

[Koha 16.05] CGI Error: "script not found or unable to stat: /usr/lib/cgi-bin/img..."
by Craig Butosi 05 Aug '16

05 Aug '16

Hi all, Koha 16.05.02, package install on Ubuntu 14.04. I tried to manually run some cronjobs for testing purposes before we go live in September. One of these is fines.pl, which is located at /usr/share/koha/bin/cronjobs/fines.pl However, When running the following at the commandline $export KOHA_CONF=/etc/koha/sites/library2/koha-conf.xml [library2 is our instance name, btw] $export PERL5LIB=/usr/share/koha/lib $/usr/share/koha/bin/cronjobs/fines.pl No fines are posted to patron account (yes, all sysprefs, circ rules, etc are set-up correctly). Navigating to intranet-error.log, I find the following: [Thu Aug 04 17:10:25.442365 2016] [cgi:error] [pid 2728] [client 209.20.18.21:18385] script not found or unable to stat: /usr/lib/cgi-bin/img, referer: http://rel.rcmusic.ca:8080/cgi-bin/koha/members/pay.pl?borrowernumber=1 I haven't the foggiest why it is searching /usr/lib/cgi-bin/img or how that happened. It's a non-existent directory. Should it not be trying to search elsewhere? Please help! :S C Craig Butosi, MA, MLIS, B Mus (Hons.) Re: [Koha] Sharing advanced bib editor macros?
by Hernandez, Heather 04 Aug '16

Hi, Barton-- It looks great! There's a stray tilde in the 710 macro, so I'll see if I can log in to edit, and remove that tilde. One question--the page says the macros haven't been tested, but I do use them in my cataloging--do you mean that they haven't been tested by someone else to verify them? Or is it just a standard "buyer beware...use at your own risk" phrase? If the tilde disappears from the 710 macro, then I'm successful!
