I purposefully hacked a cronjob to start at 7:55am, since our library opens at 8:00am. I still, however, do not know the cause of this. Though, I don’t understand the 10:32, 11:33, or 11:56 ones. Hi all, I'm having some issues with Koha searching from both the OPAC and the staff Intranet. I have tried several solutions for reindexing etc... including ---Koha-rebuild-zebra -f -v -b mylibrary and ---export PERL5LIB=/usr/share/koha/lib ---export KOHA_CONF=/usr/share/koha/koha-conf.xml ---perl /usr/share/koha/bin/migration_tools/rebuild_zebra.pl -b -r -v -run-as-root none of these commands produce any errors, however, they also do not fix the issue. A reboot of the VM will cause the "search" to work again for a day or two....?? (I know....."it shouldn't make a difference" ...but it does...!?!?!?) I'm unsure of exactly where to start troubleshooting ??? Any advise on where to begin ?? Thanks, -S

Managing new authority headings

Dear all, Does anyone monitor new authority headings (all types) created? If so, how do you identify new headings created in a given time period? Custom reports?? At this moment, there is no easy way to identify those new headings. Going through the entire list of authority headings is very labour intensive work. I would like to manage this area a little more, after found quite a few duplicate, unused, and even invalid/outdated headings. I would also like to see a more advanced method of global change of headings, for example: $aHong Kong to $aHong Kong (China) [only those found in subfield $a], or $zHong Kong to $zChina $zHong Kong [only those found in subfield $z and split into multiple subfield $z], or $xPictorial works to $vPictorial works [only those found with subfield $x] This will eliminate the need to change affected headings individually. Alt-y not working on Please confirm checkout dialogs.

In Koha 16.05, the accesskey for yes selects the renew tab when there is a "Please confirm checkout" dialog. Also the new "Don't check out and print slip (P) button doesn't work with alt-p. -- Tim McMahon Technical Services West Liberty Public Library

Dear Colleagues, I am happy to announce that there is a Koha-US monthly meeting scheduled for tomorrow, Wednesday, July 13th, 2016 at 11:00 am Central Time. Please join our meeting by visiting <https://kslib.zoom.us/j/657929919> 10 minutes before the meeting time (participants are encouraged to use a webcam and microphone during the meeting). Koha-US is seeking nominations for the offices of Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer, and Member-at-Large to serve approximately one year beginning in August 2016 (except for the VP who will become the next president of the organization). If you would like to nominate someone who is interested in these offices (including yourself) please email the nomination(s) to rhastings at nekls dot org.
