Hi Katrin, I actually did create a transliterate rule which was able to convert the input from "Sinti-Swing" to "SintiSwing Sinti Swing" which created "sintiswing", "sinti", and "swing" as tokens. However, I think the ICU chain file gets used for both indexing and searching, so while it would work for indexing, it wouldn't work for searching, as you'd get hits for irrelevant results. The only other thing I can think of is perhaps modifying biblio-zebra-indexdefs.xsl to send the input data twice. Once with the hyphen and once without the hyphen. That would be hugely laborious though I think. (I just noticed we have a chopPunctuation template in biblio-zebra-indexdefs.xsl which I don't think actually gets used.) I did notice something interesting today when I was looking at ICU: http://userguide.icu-project.org/boundaryanalysis. Observe the following: Line break: |Parlez-|vous |français ?| Word break: |Parlez|-|vous| |français| |?| At the moment, we use line break in ICU. I suppose there isn't a huge difference between the two. But I thought it was interesting. I hadn't really thought about it before. It feels like there should be a way of having "Mont-Royal" be indexed as "MontRoyal" as well as "Mont" and "Royal". Currently, they're indexed as "Mont" and "Royal", retrieving relevant "Mont-Royal" only records would require using an exact match phrase search to require the proximity of "Mont Royal" in order to get a hit. It would be nice for "Mont-Royal" to retrieve "MontRoyal" while "Royal" would retrieve indexed "Royal" records. I wonder what Lucene-based search engines like Solr and Elasticsearch do there... Hi Michael, That's really interesting. I assume that you're using ICU indexing? You could update "phrases-icu.xml" and "words-icu.xml" to strip out hyphens. You would need to re-index all your records afterwards though. I haven't actually tested that particular change, but just taking a little look with both ICU and CHR and it looks like hyphens are used to tokenize. Currently, when you search "Tee-Ei", you're actually searching for "Tee" and "Ei". If you're using ICU, you could add a transform rule before the tokenize rule to remove the hyphen. This would prevent it from tokenizing and then "Tee-Ei" and "Teeei" should retrieve the same records. Beware also that this is a universal change. You might want to check to see if there are hyphens that shouldn't be removed. If so, you may need to make a more complex rule to try to just capture the desired cases. If you're using CHR, you can take a look at word-phrase-utf.chr and remove - from the "Breaking characters" section. You may or may not also need to map it. I'm less familiar with CHR indexing. Now the question: is there a way how to teach Koha (or Zebra) to look for the second term also when the first term is searched, and vice versa? Or shorter: Just to ignore the hyphens? Using the standard configuration Koha will not find the second term if the first one is searched, and vice bversa. We would appreciate any hint or tip! Integration points with Organisational ERP

Dear Koha Community I would like to hear from university libraries using KOHA, on integration points they have achieved with the university-wide student/finance system with KOHA. e.g. When a student is registered on university ERP, a trigger creates or updates a matching record on Koha. When an order encumbers funds on koha, a trigger does the same on university's finance system. We have just been asked by our programming team what integration points we need and could only think of a few. Any integration experience outside a university system is welcome as well. Adding to this report from Carlos below, we have multiple campuses so I'd love to be able to run the report for each campus. I've tried adding in: AND items.homebranch=<<Home branch|branches>> (copied from another report that I can select campuses) in various spots but I keep getting error messages - so I've obviously missed something important somwhere else. Where should I insert this or similar text in the search to be able to select which campus the results are from? So that would be like: SELECT monthname(datetime) month, type, count(datetime) as count FROM statistics WHERE datetime BETWEEN <<start|date>> AND <<finish|date>> AND type IN ('issue', 'renew') GROUP BY month, type ORDER BY month(datetime) The "|date" bit there means that the reports module will expect date values for those parameters and thus provide a datepicker when people go to run the report. I will caution that I've been advised not to use the "statistics" table, though I don't entirely know why. I would've written this report using the issues and old_issues tables. Esteemed Colleagues: I am delighted to say that I did indeed manage to get Koha working on a Raspberry Pi in time for my presentation at the koha-US conference last week in Pueblo, Colorado.
