Patron data not accessible
by Chris Morrison 29 Jan '10

29 Jan '10

We are upgrading to Koha 3.0.4 and have hit a snag. When we open the circulation tab and try to open a patron's account, Koha doesn't return anything. We just have a blank page that says: "Single Branch mode is ON" with the submit button under it. The data is in the system, because we can type in partial names, and it pulls down the suggestions, but, again, nothing happens when selected. Perhaps related, I also am not getting anything when I search the catalog (no results found). I just reindexed Zebra, but so far, that hasn't resolved the issue. Thoughts?

Anonymize patrons
by Susan Bennett 29 Jan '10

Can anyone tell me if Anonymizing the patrons will break links to patrons for items that have been returned but an overdue fine is still owed? We are on 3.01.00.032. Thanks in advance! Susan Bennett ILS System Administrator Geauga County Public Library 440 286-6811 x 125 440 286-7419 FAX

Extended Patron Attributes Import
by Roche III, Edward 29 Jan '10

29 Jan '10

Hello All I know I asked this before but can't seem to find the emails that were sent back to me. I need to import extended patron attributes but when I import if I pick ignore if patron cardnumber matches the one I am import it does what it says it ignores the record and goes to the next and updates nothing. If I select overwrite it overwrite the whole record and leaves me with the info that was in the import file. So I guess my question is...What is the correct way to import extended attributes after the initial patron import? Thanks Ed Edward J. Clearing payment history
by Vimal Kumar 28 Jan '10

28 Jan '10

Dear Friends, How to delete the history of fine payment? In the current version no provision to do this. We need an option to clear old payment details in fines section with release of Koha 3.06 version. With thanks, -- Vimal Kumar V. Asst. Report for patrons with most checkouts
by Cab Vinton 28 Jan '10

28 Jan '10

Koha has a built-in report listing the patrons with the most checkouts for a given time period. However, it only provides a name & the issue count. We would like a report that also provides contact info for the patron -- street & email addresses, phone number, etc. Can someone provide us with a headstart on how to write this SQL statement? I've looked at the table structure for transaction data but can't figure it out. Nothing relevant on the wiki either as far as I can tell. (I think it would be helpful if SQL statements were provided for all of the canned reports, so staff could review these, learn from them, use them as the basis for new reports, etc.) Thank you, Cab Vinton, Director Sanbornton Public Library Sanbornton, NH

Re: [Koha] Patron's barcode
by ils rehoboth 28 Jan '10

28 Jan '10

Hi all, I have been struggling to come up with an sql query that can generate patrons barcode from koha (i am using 3.0. ) using kbarcode. I have come up with the following sql query but it seems it is not working. Can somebody correct my sql statement: SELECTborrowers.surname, borrowers.firstname, borrowers.cardnumber as barcode FROM borrowers WHERE borrowers.cardnumber >=02300 and borrowers.cardnumber <=02310; (NB: 02300 and 02310 represent the range of patrons' barcodes to be generated) Your input is highly appreciated.
