Hello, all. We're in the final stages of our Koha implementation and I'm trying to sort out the bib/auth linking. Can someone direct me to documentation describing what the link_bibs_to_authorities. pl script is looking for when it checks bibs (if it exists)? I loaded 1 record and one of its associated authority records into my catalog and the script checks the bib, but doesn't modify it. No errors are reported. I'm no expert on authority control, so I'm not sure if our old catalog created bad records or there is some further configuration that needs to be done in order to get the script to work for our records. Zebra indexing

koha koha-3.00.00 on linux red hat 5 Hello all I have a question about zebra indexing. How can I check if this opion is installed? Now I use the NOZEBRA mode, but I would like to use the ZEBRA mode. marc loadfile question

I've got a file that I've got in MarcEdit that I played with sometime ago. Unfortunately I can't find my notes to determine how far I got in converting the file. Is there some wicked cool way to use MarcEdit to print out just the 952 field and its subfields from all of the records so I can get an idea of what I've done versus what I haven't done? Clear as mud?

Stack Smashing

Here is a good challenge. I have seen this question posed a few times, but have not seen an answer. We are running 3.01.00.061 on Ubuntu 8.04.3. Using the icuchain method for indexing records. When we got to just over 10,000 records we started to get the following error message when Zebra gets to the point of inserting records. Any ideas on this one? We are running Koha 3.01.00.061 with Zebra. Agnes, My goal is to have all libraries using Koha (and other automation systems) represented in lib-web-cats. In order to show on the map, the entry for the library needs to include the GPS coordinates in its lib-web-cats entry. These are present for most US libraries. I have not been able to add coordinates comprehensively for libraries in many other regions. I'm looking for a web service or some other tool that will reliably convert international addresses to geospatial coordinates. I could then develop a perl script to populate the missing coordinate data for library entries in lib-web-cats. If anyone knows of a good approach for this or can share a perl script to accomplish this, I would be very grateful. There was a thread on this list recently involving the development of a map that displays all libraries using Koha. David Friggens had developed a version using Google maps and data from lib-web-cats, but I think that it involved manually adding entries to the map. The map for ILS implementations is one example of a more extensive map API that I have created in lib-web-cats that I'm still in the process of documenting. I have created a new map facility in lib-web-cats that can be used to display such things as all libraries using Koha that are represented in lib-web-cats. Problem importing authority records

Thankfully I was able to get my marc records (and items) into Koha using the web interface. However, the fact that I cannot seem to get any (or most) of these scripts to run is problematic.
