Hi All, To get the ball rolling, I have put up a page in Koha wiki at http://wiki.koha-community.org/wiki/KohaCon2011 I have also put up a supporting site at http://kohacon11.vpmthane.org/ Its just a stub yet but I will be working on it. Please send replies to mailing list. That will allow more people to help you. I think your best bet for a 2.2.5 to 3.2 upgrade will be to dump your records, install a fresh 3.2 and import records. The KohaCon 2011 Location Survey is closed.Total of 877 responses received. If you voted for a location as your first choice it got 4 points, your second choice 3 points, and so on. Below is the break down in points. * Thane, India [ End October - Beginning November ] 2640+150+62+33= 2885 * Kathmandu, Nepal [ November / December 2011 ] 432+96+186+24= 738 * Kolkata, India [ November / December 2011 ] 156+339+104+33= 632 * Somerset or Bristol, UK [ September / October 2011 ] 160+141+72+108 = 481 Over whelming response shows that growing number of Koha users from India. worldcat search target?

Hello all, The KohaCon 2011 Location Survey is closed. We had a total of 877 responses. If you voted for a location as your first choice it got 4 points, your second choice 3 points, and so on. I do want to know what your opinions are about posting the full CSV file to the wiki - it does have all our email addresses. I might remove that column before posting if enough people express a concern about that or just email the CSV to those who want to see the raw results and not worry about posting it publicly at all. Even if we ignore votes from those who didn't fill in all the information I'm pretty sure we have a winner. Thanks Nicole C. Engard PS. I recommend that we soon move on to voting for the location for 2012 so that we can get on top of things and conference planners have more time to prepare.

Edit the Comments feature

Hi all, I'm running Koha 3.02 on Ubuntu 10.10. I'm trying to edit the comments feature that displays with each record in the opac. I'd like to edit it where the name of patron is not pulled from each patron record-so as to make comments anonymous. Could someone point me in the right direction here on what code to edit/remove? Checkout and other tasks takes a while

Hi all! Iv'e done a test installation (for demonstration purposes) of Koha 3.2.3 on my laptop with Ubuntu 10.10 (32-bit). See specs below. What I find is that a checkout takes 35 seconds for a single item and my question is what part of the spec is most important for better performance? What are your times for different tasks and what specs are your servers? CPU: 1.8GHz Turion 64 ML-34 RAM: 2048 MB PC2700 DDR SDRAM 333MHz Graphic: ATI Mobility Radeon X700 128MB Disk: Seagate ST9100823A 50GB 5,400rpm Cheers, /Thommy M.

imported reocrd indexing in KOHA

Sir, I want to know how indexing of mark record is achieved in KOHA to searched imported record from other resource. I am importing books reocrd from SQL server databse into KOHA's MySQL database. Data is successfully imported into the KOHA's database but it can nor be searched from the KOHA's catalogue search. I also want to know that in which directory the indexing is saved? How can be index generated? I don't perl but i know C# .net very well\ Please reply me. Every suggestion is appreciated. Thanks
