LiveCD flavors of 3.2.x

Rather than (or in parallel with) installing from scratch, I may try the packaged convenience of a LiveCD. Here are the ones I've found so far: gsdlkohalive_v0.7_rc1_15122010.iso koha3.2livecd.i686-0.1.5.iso liblivecd.iso koha_livecd_322_ub1010_x64.r7.iso Any recommendations on which image to start with? I believe no one's re-spun for v3.2.3 yet? If I'm starting with v3.2.2 (as I believe all the above use) is it relatively easy to upgrade to the latest? I plan to do this with no/an empty database. . . I'm planning on installing to HDD, or at least enabling persistence so I can get started on getting a good framework config'd, testing MARC importing etc. I also need to get the z3950 server going ASAP. Thanks in advance

Check outs not allowed

Good afternoon, We transferred all of our patrons this weekend to Koha 3.0 All the marc records were loaded into the system. I was thinking life was great. Hmmm, something must enter now... whenever we choose a patrons name we get the following message: Checking out to Darla Grediagin (9950040) Cannot Check Out! I know that the patron is current and all required information has been entered into the system. Any ideas why this message may come up? stale authority koha search results

Hi, I would expect to be able to delete all authorities from Koha like this: bulkmarcimport -a -d rebuild_zebra.pl -a -r After these commands I perform a fresh authority search in Koha for authority "Smith" I get a big list of search results. When I click on one of them it tells me it does not exist ("Can't call method "field" on an undefined value"). This tells me it is a stale list and that somehow my zebra db is serving up stale info - even though the auth_header table is empty in sql. So I stop/start zebrasrv, reboot etc. and still I get the stale search results. I check the logs, and the cron job for rebuild_zebra is running as expected. The only error in koha-zebradaemon-output.log is zebrasrv(1) [warn] Index 'any' not found in attset(s) (it is still not clear to me how to fix this one) Any ideas? Thanks, Pete. Patron import

Hi Everyone Our school has installed Koha as our LIS and I think I have a handle on migrating the data. However I am totally failing to understand the import patron process. Can someone point me to more comprehensive instructions than the Koha manual. I keep getting the following error message and I don't know what it means. I should like to be able to tell our techie what is wrong (or indeed If I am doing it wrongly). Couldn't search imported record from KOHA

Hello guyz, I have imported record from sql server 2005 to mysql server database of koha. Though record is successfully imported into the MySQL database it is not searche from KOHA cataloguing search. I have also generated a marc XML file from imported record and stored it in marcxml field of biblioitems table. but it is not working. Please suggest me what to do for searching imported record in KOHA. Please help me fast. Any suggestion will be appreciated. Thanks.

Unimarc to Marc 21

Hi, Is it possible to change the format in Koha? To replace Unimarc by Marc 21 (I have only five records in my database in Unimarc and I would switch in MARC 21)? Or should I reinstall Koha? Thanks Martin Caris
