This is the error message. (in 3.2) Software error: Can't call method "fields" on an undefined value at /usr/share/koha/opac/cgi-bin/opac/opac-authoritiesdetail.pl line 119. The above error message was generated by clicking on a link that appears at the top of the authority record when viewed in the OPAC using 'Browse by subject'. The URL for the catalogue is http://catalogue.efdss.org/ if you want to test it out for yourself. To see a list of terms with 260 fields type in 'not used' as the main entry heading under Browse by subject. The link also appears at the top of authority records in the staff interface with the same result. We have created reference records as a work around for the fact that search authorities/ browse by subject does not search the 4XX see from fields. The control number for the authority record is in 260 $0, and I assumed this was the link. But when I mouse over the link it says http://catalogue.efdss.org/cgi-bin/koha/opac-authoritiesdetail.pl?authid= Which makes me think it's not linking properly. Customizing Filters

I found a problem with the Availability Limit: it doesn't return results at all (Koha 3.2.3 on Debian 6). So my choice is to hide the Availability Limit. More: I'd like to change the order and the content of the left column "Refine your search", adding a language filter. Is this possible to customize filters? Thanks. Stefano

problem with duplicate entries

Hi, I hope someone can help with two, related, problems. (1) Duplicate entries. When I am creating new catalogue entries, I often find I get a 'double' entry, so that I end up with a biblio record with holdings, and one without. I then have to go back and delete the extra entry, otherwise it shows up on catalogue searches as having 'no items' which is confusing for people using the catalogue. This happens when I'm accessing my Koha server via a network; when I have the chance to catalogue straight on to the server, it doesn't happen, so presumably it's a network issue, but can anyone suggest a way of avoiding this problem? (2) 'No title' records. A related problem - in the course of deleting some of the duplicate entries, I mistakenly deleted a couple of records which had items in the holdings, leaving me with some 'no title' records. My question is: how can I delete these 'no title' records, which have apparent items in holdings so are again confusing for people using the catalogue. Many thanks for any advice you can give. MARC for RDA

Hello, I am reading some advice on how to prepare the catalog for RDA records, and it suggests that I map the MARC fields 338 and 336 to display as 245, subfield h. I have modified MARC frameworks in the past but don't know how I would make one field display as another in the OPAC. Is there a way to do this? Thank you. intro & first question

Hi all, I stumbled on the kohalist after struggling to get koha up and running for a couple of days now. As this list kindly asks to describe myself; here it goes I work for a research institute at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (Belgium) . My main tasks include everything that is somewhat web-related; from e-learning to managing mailinglists to structuring and remaking websites etc etc. You get it, the traditional "oh, he knows what html is and has some idea about css too and has his own server up and running so we can ask him anything moderately related to webstuff or electronics. My background however is linguistics so I have only a hobby-esque knowledge of linux and servers and am definitely not a full blown sysadmin/programmer/... . This is where the misery started; our Apple Sysadmin (who only knows apple) saw something about an ILS named koha but as it is linux and he has no linux experience whatsoever he thought the office webmonkey might just be the one to give this mission to. I got a macmini and the order "make it work". First i struggled to install Debian on this server and then I got to installing koha. However, after going through the debian installation, I end up with a http://localhost/ that says "system maintenance; the koha online catalog is offline for system maintenance. We'll be back soon!... (etc). I get nothing on ports 8080 or other ports i've tried and frankly after looking for a while now, i have no clue what to do or how to go on. So I got on to this mailinglist by lack of finding support-forums or anything else to go by. I tried to join the irc channel but couldn't get into it. my config: debian-squeeze (6.0) on a macmini 2.1 (running it with bootcamp so not in macos but on a fully operational debian) Thanks for any help and I hope that, once i get it going, i might , eventually, be of help here as well! cheers, Klaas

koha ldap authentification

Description of problem: On local machine is installed windows server 2003 with configured active directory http://koha.1045719.n5.nabble.com/file/n3394082/ad_.png , I installed Ubuntu 10.10 on another machine, here I installed Koha 3.0 which still works well.
