Hi all, I have this request for a report: "Can you develop a report that would provide: all the holds for <<a chosen owning library's>> titles (also showing the item barcodes) on which <<the same chosen library's>> patrons have holds but which titles are “in transit" to another library?" The hold is placed on the biblio level most of the time and and transfer on the item level - so this report will not be comprehensive because it will only find item specific holds. SELECT b.title, b.author, i.itemcallnumber, i.barcode, t.tobranch, COUNT(h.biblionumber) AS 'holds' FROM reserves h LEFT JOIN borrowers p using (borrowernumber) LEFT JOIN branchtransfers t USING (itemnumber) LEFT JOIN items i ON (t.itemnumber=i.itemnumber) LEFT JOIN biblio b ON (i.biblionumber=b.biblionumber) WHERE i.homebranch = <<Item's branch|branches>> and p.branchcode=i.homebranch and p.branchcode != t.tobranch GROUP BY h.biblionumber HAVING COUNT(h.biblionumber) > 0 ORDER BY b.title ASC Is there a way to make it more comprehensive that I'm missing? Hello Mr. Vinton, and greetings from Finland! We are facing a similar issue and were planning to solve it with SQL reports. Each library just receives payments regardless of the origin of items. We can see which libraries received and how much money from the accountlines database table. You can target the item, the staff member who received the payment and the borrower. This should provide ample data to distribute the collected fines annually or bi-annually based on the SQL reports. I would also note that we are not yet in production and cannot verify this 100%. koha installation error on ubuntu/lubuntu 12.04 64 bit version

i am struggling to install koha on ubuntu/lubuntu 12.04 64 bit version. Web installation is successfull also i could add few records but OPAC search does not work. Koha, HTML5 and youtube videos

Hi all! This new feature in Koha 3.12 being able to embed media files, is it possible with youtube videos, I'm trying it out but I can not make it work. The sample data from here: http://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/attachment.cgi?id=11056 worked since the format is video/ogg. My question is 1) what is the format for youtube videos? and 2) are you tube videos supported? Duplicates inside imported excel file

Hi, I have configured matching records & it works fine if the book already imported & there is a duplicate in the importing file. But I have multiple duplicate records inside the same excel file I am trying to import. Can it be automated or I have manually use the excel find duplicate function? Somewhat Authorities in Koha, so-called authorship, authors could describe the items 4 and 5, but it describes much more information about the author of the document elements such as the cataloging normal -- Regards Thuỷ

Hi all, I have managed to get into the FireBird database back end of our existing AccessIt library catalog and export all of the data as a CSV file. Now I am trying to use MarcEdit to convert the CSV file into Marc records so that it can be imported into Koha. I have imported the resulting file into Koha, and it looks reasonably good for a first effort, except for when I view one of the items imported, Koha tells me that there are no physical items for the record. I suspect I have not quite got the mapping right between the CSV file fields and Marc file fields. Is there any howto on this sort of thing- especially for a non-librarian like me as most of the librarian terms go straight over my head! ;-) Also, what field should our 'internal' barcodes be mapped to so that we can use the same barcode number as what already exists in AccessIt? biblio records without items and location

Hi all! Is it possible especially with newer versions of Koha that bibliographic records that does not have accession nos./barcode can still have location data? This is for a union catalog that does not care on accession nos./barcode of books but only on the availability of certain titles.
