Hello Mr. Maileseni and Mr. Sasse. A very interesting question. Firstly you should tell us what kind of features you need for a consortium? I know you can run a succesful consortium with zero consortial features and probably this will be the best way for your staff and your patrons, since it is really simple to have unified settings. It is also the most clear solution to your users if you allow transportation of items between libraries. If you are not transferring material between libraries and want to limit the availability of your items to a specific library, you can do that with UseIndependentBranches-feature. If you want libraries A, B, and C to form a sub-consortium and libraries D, E and F to form their own; and limit permissions and holds and acquisitions between consortias, while sharing the same user and bibliographic database, Koha wil limit your barrier building, but you should aim to resolve those issues politically by making compromises. Tho if you have only 6 libraries I recommend you unify practices, let everyone edit each others item and patron records and work more closely together. It is proven that libraries deliver more success by working together than building or maintaining artificial walls. Especially since everyone is cutting our budgets. Hi to all. This is my first question to the list. I use Z39.50 searching: I'd like to know if there is a way to add new fileds in the results windows after a Z39.50 searching: I'd need "Publisher" and "Year of publication". Thanks in advance Andrea Furin

Re: [Koha] Sql report for list of items according to shelving location

Hi Godfrey, you do not specify fields you are interested in. Only some fields from the items table? Or some fields from the bilio table too? Anyway, maybe you can start trying select * from items order by cn_sort or select * from biblio b, items i where b.biblionumber=i.biblionumber order by i.cn_sort and then replace * with a comma delimited list of fields you need to print. CCSR and PROG

I just stood up a brand new test instance of 3.12.06 to experiment with CCSR vs. PROG themes for OPAC. The default PROG works fine, but when I switch to CCSR the OPAC displays completely wrong. Here are 2 screen shots (if you can ignore the TinyPic ads): PROG: http://oi42.tinypic.com/15wlco0.jpg CCSR: http://oi40.tinypic.com/nf4mx2.jpg Tested in FF, Chrome and IE. ===================================== Paul

by Arnold 04 Nov '13

hi i am new to koha and have gone through the "Using Koha as a Content Management System" steps so as to be able to add custom pages. My problem is when I finished adding a custom page and try testing it i get the error 500. On checking the logs, it says; [error][client 127.0.0.1] Can't open perl script "usr/share/koha/opac/cgi-bin/opac/pages.pl": Permission denied, referer: http://127.0.1.1/cgi-bin/koha/pages.pl?p=test Any advice on how I can solve this? Thanks

Yes. There are several demo sites for Koha available here: http://koha-community.org/demo/ I believe these servers reset themselves to a default configuration daily but they should give you a good idea of what Koha is capable of. Also, take a look at the manual: http://koha-community.org/documentation/ 3.12 is the current stable version and 3.14 is the next release due at the end of this month. Hi everybody! I have installed Koha 3.6.4 on ubuntu 11.10. All seems to work fine, i can create records and so on, but when i try to reindex the the Zebra database i get the following error: /usr/share/koha/bin/migration_tools/rebuild_zebra.pl -b -r -v Zebra configuration information ================================ Zebra biblio directory = /var/lib/koha/zebradb/biblios Zebra authorities directory = /var/lib/koha/zebradb/authorities Koha directory = /usr/share/koha/intranet/cgi-bin BIBLIONUMBER in : 001$@ BIBLIOITEMNUMBER in : 090$a ================================ skipping authorities ==================== exporting biblio ==================== 1 Records exported: 1 ==================== REINDEXING zebra ==================== 01:50:58-16/04 zebraidx(5748) [warn] Record didn't contain match fields in (bib1,Local-number) ==================== CLEANING ==================== And the records that i have creaate can't be find in the catalogue. I have the following settings: in /etc/koha/zebradb/marc_defs/unimarc/biblios/record.abs /all any melm 001 Local-number,Local-number:n # Local-number (biblionumber can be either in 090$9 or, on some setup, on 001) melm 009 Identifier-standard:w,Identifier-standard:n melm 090$9 Local-number,Local-number:n melm 099$c date-entered-on-file:s,date-entered-on-file:n,date-entered-on-file:y,Date-of-acquisition,Date-of-acquisition:d,Date-of-acquisition:s melm 099$d Date/time-last-modified:s,Date/time-last-modified:n,Date/time-last-modified:y melm 099$t ccode:w/ And the marc record in the Administration panel of Koha are settings as you can see: http://koha.1045719.n5.nabble.com/file/n5642993/koha_marc_mapping.png http://koha.1045719.n5.nabble.com/file/n5642993/koah_mapping.png http://koha.1045719.n5.nabble.com/file/n5642993/marc_001.png Also if i run a Marc Test in the Administration panel i get this error regarding biblio and biblioitem (maybe relating with the problem with Zebra reindexing?): http://koha.1045719.n5.nabble.com/file/n5642993/biblio_error.png Do you konw how to fix this problem?
