Hi, I wanted to replace the koha logo by just pasting my image in the images folder and editing the css file but was advised to place the image on the web and enter the url in the "opacsmallimage" field. My question is do I have to use the "opacsmallimage" or can I paste my image and edit the css file?

You can do it either way, but you ought to do it by editing opacsmallimage since you won't have to edit files every time you upgrade Koha. Our release cycle is only 6 months, and there are many bugfixes in between versions, so this can get quite tedious quite quickly. Cheers, Brooke
Hi, you should avoid editing the CSS files or any files that come with Koha, because it will give you grief when you lose your customizations on updating Koha. opacsmallimage is a way of doing safe customizing, but there are also other options to overwrite the default CSS like using the system preference OpacUserCSS. Hope that helps, Katrin
