marc21_leader.pl : how to change default values?
by Giuseppe Angilella 24 Mar '14

24 Mar '14

Hi, how is it possible to change the default values filled in MARC subfield 000 by marc21_leader.pl, without editing the perl script itself? There seems to be no explicit way to do that in Home > Administration > MARC frameworks > Default MARC framework Many thanks, Giuseppe.

Re: [Koha] Koha import cyrillic (SOLVED)
by volkan sonmez 21 Mar '14

21 Mar '14

We solved our problem using MarcEdit. We converted cyrillic records to UTF8 using MarcEdit Character Conversion tool. Then imported to ILS from KOHA import page. -----Original Message----- From: koha-bounces(a)lists.katipo.co.nz [mailto:koha-bounces@lists.katipo.co.nz] On Behalf Of MJ Ray Sent: Friday, March 21, 2014 1:52 PM To: koha(a)lists.katipo.co.nz Subject: Re: [Koha] Koha import cyrillic volkan sonmez wrote: > We exported unimarc records from former library automation. Can you convert the exported file to ISO 10646 encoded in UTF-8? The yaz-iconv tool may help. Asking how to set up the Overdrive API
by Agnes Rivers-Moore 21 Mar '14

21 Mar '14

Hello We have an Overdrive subscription through a consortium, and Koha 3.14. The Overdrive Developer Portal wants to know which APIs I am signing up for, and I checked off a few. While I wait for acceptance and the security keys - does anyone know which APIs I should ask for? That is, which one or ones are integrated into Koha? Are there any other settings that are needed for this to work? If anyone has this up and running I would like to hear about your experience. Who uses Mozilla Persona?
by Agnes Rivers-Moore 21 Mar '14

21 Mar '14

Hi Koha people I see there is an option to add a Mozilla Persona app to help people log in th Koha. This sounds like a good idea, but it depends on whether enough people and enough other websites are using this feature. So, hands up - who uses Persona either to log in to other sites or in their Koha installation? Koha import cyrillic
by volkan sonmez 21 Mar '14

Dear community, We would like to install KOHA library automation system for a library in Kazakhistan. We need ISO 5427 character set while importing records. We exported unimarc records from former library automation. But records are in cyrillic encoding (ISO 5427). In KOHA marc import page (web) (after uploading file in "character encoding" section) there is no ISO 5427 option. We tried other character encoding options. But we encountered weird characters on the screen. Is there any way to add ISO 5427 option to character encoding section. Volkan Sönmez Süleyman Demirel University Library (phone) +90 (246) 2118154

FW: Opac search not working on 3.14
by Lay Poh Allonen 21 Mar '14

21 Mar '14

Hi there, We have recently upgraded from 3.2 to 3.14.01, using Ubuntu 12.0.4. The upgrade was a success except we were not able to search the OPAC. We could search Authorities but not the Bibliographic records. The catalogue Search on the staff client side is working fine. Each search in the OPAC returns 'No results found!'. Assuming that this problem has to do with zebra indexing, I have tried to run zebra and it threw the error message pasted below. Please help us to resolve the problem. "error retrieving biblio 11115 at /usr/share/koha/bin/migration_tools/rebuild_zebra.pl line 616." Please advise. Thank you. Best regards, Lay Poh
