Hi Claudio, You can submit bugs (and enhancement requests as well) on http://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/ A guidline to report bugs is on the Wiki: http://wiki.koha-community.org/wiki/Bug_Reporting_Guidelines And no, you are not niggling :-) Small bugs are important as well! Claudio, Do you have this problem in another language than english ? This feels like a translation bug to me. I would try the english interface to see if you have the same problem. I'd like to report about what I think is a small bug in Koha 3.16.02.000 Patrons managment. Accessing to koha staff client as superlibrarian is impossible to delete a patron. I mean, the "delete" item is enabled but it doesn't give any result. On the other side accessing to koha as a staff member who has all the permission to manage patrons, is possible to delete patrons: the "delete" is enabled and it makes its work. Code of conduct
by Galen Charlton 14 Aug '14

14 Aug '14

Hi, At the general IRC meeting which took place yesterday and day, Chris Cormack proposed the adoption of a code of conduct for Koha events. This proposal received general assent. The proposed wording is: ___START___ All delegates, speakers, sponsors and volunteers at any Koha event are required to agree with the following code of conduct. Organisers will enforce this code throughout the event. The Quick Version Koha event organisers are dedicated to providing a harassment-free experience for everyone, regardless of gender, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, or religion. We do not tolerate harassment of event participants in any form. Sexual language and imagery is not appropriate for any event venue, including talks. Event participants violating these rules may be sanctioned or expelled from the event without a refund at the discretion of the event organisers. Harassment includes, but is not limited to: * Violent threats, intimidation or personal insults directed against another person * Verbal, graphic or written comments related to gender, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race or religion * Posting sexually explicit or violent material * Stalking or following, including harassing photography or recording * Sustained disruption of talks or other presentations * Inappropriate physical contact or sexual attention * Posting (or threatening to post) other people’s personally identifying information * Advocating for, or encouraging, any of the above behavior * Repeated harassment of others. In general, if someone asks you to stop, then stop The Less Quick Version Participants asked to stop any harassing behavior are expected to comply immediately. Sponsors are also subject to the anti-harassment policy. In particular, sponsors should not use sexualized images, activities, or other material. Booth staff (including volunteers) should not use sexualized clothing/uniforms/costumes, or otherwise create a sexualized environment. If a participant engages in harassing behavior, event organisers retain the right to take any actions to keep the event a welcoming environment for all participants. Event organisers may take action to redress anything designed to, or with the clear impact of, disrupting the event or making the environment hostile for any participants. If you are being harassed, notice that someone else is being harassed, or have any other concerns, please contact a member of event staff immediately. Event staff can be identified by a clearly marked “STAFF” badge, button or shirt. Event staff will be happy to help participants contact hotel/venue security or local law enforcement, provide escorts, or otherwise assist those experiencing harassment to feel safe for the duration of the event. We value your attendance. We expect participants to follow these rules at all event venues and event-related social activities. We think people should follow these rules outside event activities too! This code of conduct is borrowed, slightly modified, from the folks at Evergreen who borrowed it from the folks at GopherCon, who borrowed it from JSConf, with permission. A section is adapted from the OpenStack Summit Code of Conduct. ___END___ At second half of the meeting, some concerns were raised regarding the wording. These include: * The desirability of having the policy explicitly cover online forums such as the IRC channel and the mailing lists. * Alternative wording for the policy as applied to online forums, e.g., the Debian code of conduct that was recently adopted. [1] At this point, I call for folks who have amendments to the draft policy to propose to do so via this mailing list. I further suggest that we aim to achieve consensus on final wording this month so that a vote can be taken at the July general meeting. If more time turns out to be needed, so be it, but I strongly feel that we should adopt a code of conduct well in advance of KohaCon14 in October. Re: [Koha] Self checkout
by Chad Roseburg 13 Aug '14

We are using the following in the opacuserjs field: $(document).ready(function(){ // For selfcheck login page. Cleans up non-essentials and changes // Text. var url = window.location.href; var host = window.location.host; if(url.indexOf('http://' + host + '/cgi-bin/koha/sco') != -1) { $('#header-region').remove(); $('#opac-main-search').remove(); $('.breadcrumb').remove(); $('#auth fieldset').remove(); $( '.btn' ).attr('value', 'Start'); $( '#opac-auth h3' ).replaceWith("<h1>Click here to begin!</h1>"); } }); Some explanation: We use the selfcheck module on touchscreen kiosks so we remove anything clickable other than the start button. You may only be interested in the button and text replacement as well as removing the username password fields -- though you need to make sure the browser has the credentials "remembered" otherwise you won't be able to log in: $(document).ready(function(){ var url = window.location.href; var host = window.location.host; if(url.indexOf('http://' + host + '/cgi-bin/koha/sco') != -1) { $('#auth fieldset').remove(); $( '.btn' ).attr('value', 'Start'); $( '#opac-auth h3' ).replaceWith("<h1>Click here to begin!</h1>"); } }); 3.14 and 3.16 have the self-check login page as part of the OPAC [ a bug, I believe ] so you have to point the code at the specific page. A better way might make the username/password fields invisible and move them so you can still use them --- or, activate them by clicking on a certain word. Hope that is helpful to you! Koha Export data
by Erlanda Simonyan 13 Aug '14

13 Aug '14

Dear community, We are using Koha 3.14 version. Koha Export data module is allowing to export the records according to the criteria "From Biublionumber- To Biblionumber". I want to export the records lets say according to the year of publication range, e.g. 2000-2010. It seems that Koha export module can't perform this operation? As for Koha OPAC, from this module I can export only one record. Any suggestions. how to export the batch of records using different search criteria? Regards, Erlanda

MARC Preview in 3.16.02 - doesn't always display in managed MARC records
by Elaine Bradtke 13 Aug '14

13 Aug '14

When I go to Manage MARC records and try to look at an individual record, the popup MARC preview window doesn't appear. This is where it doesn't appear: Using Google Chrome on a Mac running OS X (10.9.4) Using Firefox on a Mac running OS X (10.9.4) However, the MARC preview popup box works fine in the Z39.50 search in both cases But: It works as expected running Google Chrome on a virtual machine (Windows XP, yeah, I know) on the very same Mac. I have disabled all the extensions, thinking one of them might have been blocking it, but it still doesn't work in the Managed staged records. Our main site is still running 3.14.06 and the MARC preview works fine in all cases. I don't have access to a more modern Windows OS to check it there until my colleagues come back to work in the morning (I'm 8 time zones away). Does anyone else see this problem? Temporary shelving location
by Jorge de Cardenas 13 Aug '14

13 Aug '14

Is anybody using temporary shelving locations? What we would like to happen is that an item has a permanent location & location set. Normally they would be the same, but occasionally items are pulled and displayed e.g. a holiday display table with holiday books, dvds, etc. The location would be changed to reflect that they are on the display table so they can be found. When they items are checked out/in they revert back to the permanent location where they are shelved. It would be a similar mechanism as items marked as lost. When they are checked in or out they revert to available. We are currently using the Lost field to mark the temporary display location but that requires modifying core modules to allow holds on certain lost codes. Opacheader syspref: Custom header image not displaying on all pages
by Craig Butosi 13 Aug '14

13 Aug '14

Dear Collective Wisdom, First time posting to KOHA listserv. I hope there's a kind soul out there who can help me with an HTML-related issue in Global Preferences-->OPAC. I'm running a test setup of Koha, and have been tinkering with the administrative settings. Everything has been going great --what a lovely system! -- until I noticed a small issue I'm having with the opacheader syspref. Problem: My custom header image (imageairBANNER.jpg) does not display on every page, unlike basic HTML text entered into the opacheader field. It only displays on the homepage (174.116.172.82). For example, if I navigate to Advanced Search from the homepage, I get a broken image icon instead of my custom header image. I have noticed that when I type my OPAC URL into a browser, after page load, it displays only the URL in the address bar of the browser (http://craigslibrary.myddns.com/) but, if I click on the small "Koha" icon on the homepage's masthead, it returns me to the homepage with a different URL: http://craigslibrary.myddns.com/cgi-bin/koha/opac-main.pl (it is on the latter page the broken image appears). Goal: To have my custom header image display on every page of the catalogue. ___ Setup: Koha 3.16.2 on Ubuntu 12.04 LTS OPAC: craigslibrary.myddns.com (174.116.172.82) Staff: craigslibrary.myddns.com:8080 (174.116.172.82:8080) Image save location: /usr/share/koha/opac/htdocs/imageairBANNER.jpg Opacheader syspref code: <img src="imageairBANNER.jpg" usemap="#websitemap"> <map name="websitemap"> <area shape="rect" coords="0,70,110,100" <a href="http://www.craigbutosi.ca" target="blank"> </map> __ I haven't a clue as to why HTML text renders on every page, but my custom image does not. Could this have something to do with the <img src> attribute, file permissions, or CSS? Any help or tips would be much appreciated, and apologies if I forgot to include important information!
