Barcode Generate Problem

I have two MarC Framework. One is Default and another which I created. I am able to generate a barcode using the default framework but not through the framework I created. I crosschecked the my Marc bibliographic framework with the default one and is almost same (except for few tags). My "advanced constraints" in 952 & P is set to items.barcode which is the same as default. What could be the problem now? Cataloguing boxes?

Is anyone using Koha to catalogue boxes of articles and circulate them? In the case I've seen, circulating the individual articles is not needed, but there would be a table of contents in the catalogue entry. Periodically, some boxes would be disposed of. I had a bit of a dig through the discussion archives, but most concerns with article management seemed to about cataloguing the articles and linking them together various ways. On IRC, the wonderful gmcharlt and jcamins explained that package-based installations speak marcxml internally now (so the 99999-character MARC record size limit mainly affects binary exports) and analytic cataloguing is another option if that much detail is needed. Dyrcona asked whether 505 tag (where the table of contents would be in MARC21) was searchable, which it is. So, is anyone doing this sort of circulation for real and are there any other problems? magnifying glass next to authorities in the opac

Hi all, Can you tell me what preference triggers the magnifying glass icon to appear next to authorities in the OPAC? Is that something I can turn on/off? And if so how? Thanks so much, Nicole

ldap and extended patron attributes

Hi all, we are testing Koha (3.16.01) with openldap and have an error with extended patron attributes. DBD::mysql::st execute failed: Unknown column 'preflang' in 'field list' at /usr/share/koha/lib/C4/Auth_with_ldap.pm line 320, <DATA> line 522. 'preflang' is one of our extended attributes. Mapping in koha-conf.xml is done. intranet-error.log (with debug) shows all attribs and values from ldap incuding the extended ones without failure. When it comes to update the extended fields, the error shows up. Don't know if this answers your question. We are a small library providing support to carers of dementia patients. As such, we circulate kits such as 'Sewing kits', 'Fishing kits', 'Carpentry kits' etc. These are designed to engage the patients interest.We catalogue these as briefly as possible (our staff are not librarians), but we include a short description of contents and a list in the 505 field. Change SIP Port

I need to change the port that SIP to which SIP listens. The default port is 6001 and I need to change it to 6002 (with Koha still listening on port 8023 as defined in the SIPConfig.xml. I change the port to 6002 in /etc/koha/SIPConfig.xml but I realized that Koha moves this file to /etc/koha/sites/koha when the command in /usr/sbin/koha-enable-sip is run. I changed then changed the port in /etc/koha/sites/koha/SIPConfig.xml also. I looked at the commands koha-start-sip and koha-stop-sip but as far as I can tell, these files use the /etc/koha/sites/koha/SIPconfig.xml so everything should be good. Is there anything else that needs to be changed or will the changes I made above be sufficent to change the SIP Service itself to port 6002? Thanks, Phillip
