Koha 3.16.02.000 maybe small bug in patrons managment
by claudiok＠nexusfi.it 13 Aug '14

13 Aug '14

Hello Maybe someone else found out this before, but from here I cannot read all my old email from this mailing list. I'd like to report about what I think is a small bug in Koha 3.16.02.000 Patrons managment. Accessing to koha staff client as superlibrarian is impossible to delete a patron. I mean, the "delete" item is enabled but it doesn't give any result. On the other side accessing to koha as a staff member who has all the permission to manage patrons, is possible to delete patrons: the "delete" is enabled and it makes its work. I did many tests changing the permission of the staff members accounts, and things work as I described. Perdon me if also someone else reported this before... Claudio Kutufà

2014 Koha NA Users Group Meeting Summary
by Heather Braum (NEKLS) 12 Aug '14

12 Aug '14

I attended the 2014 North American Koha Users Group meeting in beautiful Wenatchee, WA last week. Most of the week's notes ended up my hands, so I get to send out the email summarizing the week, I guess! :) Attendees spent 2 days discussing various parts of Koha, as well as getting this North American Koha group off the ground. Friday, a dozen of us learned how to setup Koha virtual machines and set up git to do our own testing of Koha, instead of relying on the sandboxes. Several goals were developed for the group during the week: - Purpose: The purpose of this group is to communicate, educate, and collaborate amongst North American users of the Koha software and strengthen involvement with the global Koha community. - Wiki setup: Bare bones wiki already set up: www.koha-na.org. The Northeast Kansas Library System (NEKLS) volunteered to set this up and sponsor the domain name and provide the server space. This wiki will host information, including community participation tips and public development ideas and money raised for developments. Specific dollar amounts and who's contributing will be behind a password-protected wall (as some organizations can't share this info publicly), but the rest of the info will be public. We haven't figured out the development part yet, but hopefully will soon. - Communicate on the Koha-NA listserv more - Planning committee for next year's face-to-face conference in a TBD location (Include planning for live video/webcasting, for remote participation) - Online monthly meetings TBD; NEKLS finding out licensing info for Collaborate platform - Planning committee for the group: Chad Roseburg (NCRL), Joel Sasse (Plum Creek), Chris Rohde (Roseville PL), Nick Clemens (VOKAL), Heather Braum (NEKLS). Any other volunteers who weren't at the conference, please let us know if you're interested in helping lead the direction of this group and next year's face-to-face meeting. - Membership list on the wiki -- what are areas of experience? IRC nicknames. - Future goals: nonprofit status, and grant writing Full discussion notes here: http://koha-na.org/index.php/Future_of_NA_Koha_Users_Group_discussion The Wiki that was launched, www.koha-na.org, anyone can register and start adding content. All the notes from the event will be available sometime this week on the new wiki for this group. If any of you attended last week's conference, and have content to add, please feel free to do so. Multiple Statements
by Chrispin Simasiku Sitali 12 Aug '14

Greetings to all, How would I add multiple statements in opacuserjs. e.g. $(document).ready(function(){ $("#auth legend:contains('Log in to your account')").text("Log in to your library account"); $("#auth label[for='userid']").html("Library Card Number:"); $("#auth label[for='password']").html("PIN:"); }); $(document).ready(function(){ var holdlinks = $("a:contains('Place Hold'),a:contains('Place hold')"); $(holdlinks).text("Get It Now!"); }); $(window).load(function(){ $("input[value='Place Hold']").attr("value","Get It Now!"); $(document).ready(function(){ $("a:contains('Browse Shelf')").text("See Similar Items"); }); Please help. Re: [Koha] Multiple Statements
by Nicholas van Rheede van Oudtshoorn 12 Aug '14

Basically, you need one opening line: $(document).ready(function(){ And one closing line: }); Then just copy and paste the contents from each statement in between. For example: $(document).ready(function(){ $("#auth legend:contains('Log in to your account')").text("Log in to your library account"); $("#auth label[for='userid']").html("Library Card Number:"); $("#auth label[for='password']").html("PIN:"); $("a:contains('Browse Shelf')").text("See Similar Items"); // more statements here }); Nick > On Aug 11, 2014 4:35 PM, "Chrispin Simasiku Sitali" <libsitali(a)gmail.com> wrote: >> >> Greetings to all, >> >> How would I add multiple statements in opacuserjs. e.g. >> >> $(document).ready(function(){ >> $("#auth legend:contains('Log in to your account')").text("Log in to your >> library account"); >> $("#auth label[for='userid']").html("Library Card Number:"); >> $("#auth label[for='password']").html("PIN:"); >> }); >> >> >> $(document).ready(function(){ >> var holdlinks = $("a:contains('Place Hold'),a:contains('Place hold')"); >> $(holdlinks).text("Get It Now!"); >> }); >> $(window).load(function(){ >> $("input[value='Place Hold']").attr("value","Get It Now!"); >> >> >> >> >> $(document).ready(function(){ >> $("a:contains('Browse Shelf')").text("See Similar Items"); >> }); >> >> Please help. Self checkout
by Riley Childs 10 Aug '14

10 Aug '14

We are using the built in koha self checkout, the only issue is logging in, how do we make sure the sco stays logged in without auto login (which would allow anyone access)? Or is there a way to control access by IP? I can modify the apache config, but would prefer a koha based solution. Thanks for the help //Riley Sent from my Windows Phone
