Modifying Search Result layout...
by Layale Bassil 06 Aug '14

06 Aug '14

Hello All, I was wondering what should I do in order to be able to modify the layout of the Koha search result item display; i.e. I am using the regular search, I get the hits listed with some details about every hit. I want to modify the content of the "Availability: Copies available for loan: etc..." sentence. I do not want to show the number of copies for every university. I just want them listed with the (2) 2 copies showed between parentheses. What files should I edit and where can they be found? Many thanks, Regards.

Migrating Koha
by Riley Childs 06 Aug '14

06 Aug '14

We are currently migrating our koha install to a new server, I was curious how I go about restoring the dumps, the wiki is somewhat vague. Do I need to setup an instance before I run restore or can I just run the restore with a new install? Batch load error
by Tom Hanstra 05 Aug '14

05 Aug '14

When I attempt to batch load a record in a new Koha installation, I'm seeing the following error in the Koha error log: [Tue Aug 05 16:25:09 2014] [error] [client 10.41.63.84] [Tue Aug 5 16:25:09 2014] stage-marc-import.pl: DBD::mysql::st execute failed: Field 'marcxml_old' doesn't have a default value at /usr/share/koha/lib/C4/ImportBatch.pm line 1403. Is there some set of default values which I need to set in order to have records load properly? Did I miss something on setup or install? Note that I also have these additional errors: [Tue Aug 05 16:25:09 2014] [error] [client 10.41.63.84] [Tue Aug 5 16:25:09 2014] stage-marc-import.pl: DBD::mysql::st execute failed: Cannot add or update a child row: a foreign key constraint fails (`rome_prod`.`import_biblios`, CONSTRAINT `import_biblios_ibfk_1` FOREIGN KEY (`import_record_id`) REFERENCES `import_records` (`import_record_id`) ON DELETE CASCADE ON UPDATE CASCADE) at /usr/share/koha/lib/C4/ImportBatch.pm line 1442. [Tue Aug 05 16:25:09 2014] [error] [client 10.41.63.84] [Tue Aug 5 16:25:09 2014] stage-marc-import.pl: DBD::mysql::st execute failed: Cannot add or update a child row: a foreign key constraint fails (`rome_prod`.`import_items`, CONSTRAINT `import_items_ibfk_1` FOREIGN KEY (`import_record_id`) REFERENCES `import_records` (`import_record_id`) ON DELETE CASCADE ON UPDATE CASCADE) at /usr/share/koha/lib/C4/ImportBatch.pm line 440., but I'm guessing these are because of the initial loading problem. Thanks for any pointers you can give, Tom

by Sheffer, Rena A 05 Aug '14

Hello, I am new to the list. Our university medical center library just moved to Koha a month ago. I want to know about moving records for just our print journals to Serials Solutions for our A-Z list. Does anyone have any experience with this exporting process?
