Migrating Koha

We are currently migrating our koha install to a new server, I was curious how I go about restoring the dumps, the wiki is somewhat vague. Do I need to setup an instance before I run restore or can I just run the restore with a new install? Batch load error

When I attempt to batch load a record in a new Koha installation, I'm seeing the following error in the Koha error log: [Tue Aug 05 16:25:09 2014] [error] [client 10.41.63.84] [Tue Aug 5 16:25:09 2014] stage-marc-import.pl: DBD::mysql::st execute failed: Field 'marcxml_old' doesn't have a default value at /usr/share/koha/lib/C4/ImportBatch.pm line 1403. Is there some set of default values which I need to set in order to have records load properly? Did I miss something on setup or install? exporting select records to Serials Solutions

Hello, I am new to the list. Our university medical center library just moved to Koha a month ago. I want to know about moving records for just our print journals to Serials Solutions for our A-Z list. Does anyone have any experience with this exporting process? update of OCLC holdings

Hi all, We use OCLC as a z39.50 target and import most of our bib data from OCLC, and were wondering if there is a recommended or proscribed procedure for the (preferably automated) update of our own local holdings in the OCLC database. Koha on virtual machine?

Asking this question for our IT guy: "Has any one tried to put Koha on a virtual machine like Oracle VM VirtualBox or VMWare fusion -- And run it from the desktop of a Mac? I have either a iMac or Xserve Apple Server I could use for this. It appears my server is on its way out and I need to come up with a solution for where I am going to put the next server. We need the server for our elementary school. Library days are only twice a week and all the classes can come through in a few hours. Our demands on the system are small, as Koha is only ever accessed from one computer. Has any one tried a solution like putting Koha in VMware on a Mac? Any feedback would be appreciated." Not sure if it matters for his question, but we have about 5000 items in our library. Thanks, Shelley

cross-links in analytics

Hi, when a "Link to host item" is added to a constituent record, the appropriate 773 Marc datafield is created in the constituent record, and populated with the appropriate subfields referring to the host item. Then, the OPAC for the constituent record does show the link to the host record. The converse seems not to be the case, i.e. no corresponding 774 Marc datafield is created in the host record, and no link appears in the host record's OPAC. Is this a feature, is it my mistake, or a bug? Many thanks and best regards, Giuseppe. P.S.
