Koha LDAP configuration

not sure this is the correct list. We've setup Koha 3.20 and would like to configure Koha to use LDAP only for authentication, ie logins (no mapping or attributes). Koha is running on Redhat 6.6 I can successfully query LDAP (Active Directory) using linux command ldapsearch binding to email address however I can not seem to correctly configure koha-conf.xml. I believe I read over all how to's but I continue to get LDAP bind failed as kohauser someUserID: LDAP error #8: LDAP_STRONG_AUTH_REQUIRED server requires authentication be performed with a SASL mechanism via the web login and running opac-user.pl username=someUserID password=someUserIDpassword > junk.txt Other then the ldap statements in koha-conf.xml are there any that would have koha use the ldap.conf file? We have records in our catalog that are perfectly correct ISBD, AACR, AACR2 and now RDA, and they all seem to exist together happily! Retroactively trying to change catalog records from one cataloging rule set to another could be problematic, since the rules for what data must be transcribed from the item, and how, can differ greatly. We are a museum library, though, and so may be paying greater attention to visualizing the exact nature of the item from the cataloging record than most libraries! Converting MARC 21 from AACR2 to RDA

Just wondering if anyone has done retrospective conversion of their Koha data. We're considering various options, and wondering if it's worth the trouble. We have a lot of analytic records and some rather convoluted parent / child records. But at this point the catalogue is a hybrid, mostly AACR2, with increasing numbers of RDA records. I'd also be interested in anyone who's been using RDA for sound recordings in Khoa. How to restrict datetime to output only date in notices?

Hi all, I'm working on a notice where I need to place issue.date_due. Now, using <<issues.date_due>> gives the time as well. I want only the date (without the time). How to enter Multi volume books

Dear all, What to enter in acquisition in a Quantity field if a book is multi volume (say 10 volume) and library has to place one set, if we enter 10 than price will become ten times and if we enter only 1 than we will be able to receive only one item (one barcode) and rest 9 volumes we have to enter through catalog directly. Problem in Multi-Volume ordering through acquisition

Dear All, I observed there is some difficulty while placing order for multivolume books which is described below: What to enter in acquisition in a Quantity field if a book is multi volume (say 10 volume) and library has to place one set, if we enter 10 than price will become ten times and if we enter only 1 than we will be able to receive only one item (one barcode) and rest 9 volumes we have to enter through catalog directly. There should be some check box option near quantity field for multi volume so if number of volumes is added it should not multiply the cost (i.e number of copy X price of one copy).
