Kia ora koutou, Is there a way to suppress/hide the trailing slash (/) following the title displaying in the OPAC? It arrives with the MARC record but looks 'wrong' when displayed. Clint.

Koha syck parser error
by schnydszch 13 Aug '15

13 Aug '15

In koha 3.20.2 & 3.18.9 debian package install tested for both, when editing the admin.pref in order to add the lines for google authentication, I'm getting the following errors when I go to Administration - Global System Preference - Administration: Software error: Syck parser (line 117, column 15): syntax error at /usr/lib/perl5/YAML/Syck.pm line 72. I followed either attachment 40979 and for the most part attachment 40442. I was able to make this work in 3.20.1 and 3.18.8 a month ago following attachment 40442. Is there something I'm missing? Or is there a bug somewhere? YAML syck is 0.71 and is a debian 7 server. Thanks! -- View this message in context: http://koha.1045719.n5.nabble.com/Koha-syck-parser-error-tp5849406.html Sent from the Koha-general mailing list archive at Nabble.com.

Inventory: Compare barcodes option
by Caitlin Kleinpaste 12 Aug '15

12 Aug '15

I'm trying to use the "Compare barcodes list to results" feature of inventory/stocktaking? We are preparing for our first inventory since switching to Koha, and from what I can understand this is the feature that tells you what books are misshelved. I have everything else working, and as long as I don't click that box it all goes great. However, when I click it I get the error message: Software error: Can't locate object method "ymd" via package "dateformat" (perhaps you forgot to load "dateformat"?) at /usr/share/koha/lib/Koha/DateUtils.pm line 206, <fh00001barcodetest2.txt> line 5. I'm not sure what this is or how to fix it. Any insight? Anyone else run into this problem? Thanks, Caitlin Kleinpaste

Dear Team, I am not able to pay the patron fine from their respective credit balance. While doing so it shows a warning message. The steps I have followed is mentioned below 1. Selected the fine from '*Pay fine*' tab (Fine amount = 5 , Credit amount = -600 , Total due = -595) 2. Then I clicked '*Pay Selected*' option . 3. It shows Total outstanding amount = 5 , Collect from patron = 5 4. When I clicked '*Confirm*', It shows an error 'You must pay a value less than or equal to -595' . Please help me to resolve this issue. -- Thanks & Regards, Deepak K V

OrisysIndia Consultancy Services removed from support provider listing
by Galen Charlton 11 Aug '15

11 Aug '15

Hi, This is a public notification per the policy for paid support provider listings [1] that OrisysIndia has been removed from the directory. This action is taken because their website currently makes no mention of Koha nor includes a visible link to http://koha-community.org. I note that I have reason to believe that the link may have gotten inadvertently dropped during a recent redesign of their website. This message is also being sent to the contact address that was listed for this provider. The provider may request to have the listing restored once their website is in compliance with the linking requirement. Aggregate Fields into one field
by akafortes 11 Aug '15

11 Aug '15

I would like to know if it is possible to use values from different fields to populate another field in a biblio record. I know how to use populate the call number field of an item from the Dewey Decimal Classification field. What I would like to do is for my call number to consist of data from 3 different fields. Dewey number, Cutter number( I use a custom field for this one), and Copy number. For the call number field I've found that there is the "itemcallnumber" setting in the System Preferences where you add a field and subfield ( 676a ) and you can use that for the Item call number in the holdings data of an item. I would like to ask if there is a way to do something like 676$a,911$a,995$6? -- View this message in context: http://koha.1045719.n5.nabble.com/Aggregate-Fields-into-one-field-tp5849308… Sent from the Koha-general mailing list archive at Nabble.com.

Hotkeys in the staff interface
by Tim McMahon 10 Aug '15

10 Aug '15

I've been testing a version 3.20.01 package install on Debian 8 and I'm having problems with the hotkeys on the intranet interface. I'm used to Check out=U, Check in=R and Search the catalog=Q, but I'm getting Check out=R, Check in-Q and Search the catalog=U on circulation_home.pl. On mainpage.pl, I'm getting Check out=R, Search patrons-Q and Search the catalog=U. Has anyone else had this problem? I've tested on Linux Mint 17.1 with Firefox 39.0 and Chromium 43.0.2357.130 and Windows 8.1 with Firefox 39.0. -- Tim McMahon Technical Services West Liberty Public Library
