z39.50: does it provide info for bibs with no items?
by Chad Roseburg 10 Aug '15

10 Aug '15

A vendor is using Z39.50 to check our holdings but does not see a bib record that appears in Koha. This record has no items attached. Does Z39.50 only show records with items attached, acq details ...etc.? -- Chad Roseburg Automation Dept. North Central Regional Library

Musical Instruments and Catalogs
by Buddy Hale 10 Aug '15

10 Aug '15

Hi, Today is my first day using Koha. I want to build a catalog for my library which consist of musical instruments. I noticed that the catalog doesn't have an option for musical instruments and was wondering if anyone had any input on how to build a musical instrument catalog from scratch in Koha. More specifically, I want to add items like "Drum Set", "Keyboard" and "Guitar". Thanks -- *Buddy Hale* Social Entrepreneur 510 705 3567 The Library Of MusicLandria <http://libraryofmusiclandria.webs.com/>

Guidance on nginx proxying (or migrating to nginx)
by Angel 07 Aug '15

07 Aug '15

-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA256 Hello all I'm haing some problems with some CGI, notably with Advanced Search. I'm using nginx proxying because I have Koha on a server with all webs hosted using nginx, so I've configured Apache to listen on 65000 and 65001 and configured nginx hosts passing traffic to ports 65000 and 65001, but it seems would be incorrect in nginx configuration almost using Advanced Search. Other possibilty would be migrate configuration from Apache to Nginx, but I need some guidance on this topic. Migrating from LibraryWorld to Koha - problem mapping item information
by Alice Louise McKinney, Library [Faculty RTC] 03 Aug '15

Greetings, The Royal Thimphu College is currently in the process of migrating to Koha. We currently use LibraryWorld and are attempting to upload our bibliographic and item information. The bib information comes across fine and the item information is also there, BUT none of the item information is mapping to the Koha item record. If someone else has had this problem and resolved it, I would be pleased to know how you handled this process. Many thanks, amrita Amrita McKinney Professor and Library Adviser Royal Thimphu College Post Box 1122 Ngabiphu Thimphu, Bhutan +975-17320091 amckinney(a)rtc.edu
