koha-conf.xml empty
by Angela 09 Nov '16

09 Nov '16

I've just installed stable on Debian Jessie. Apache2, Perl, and MySQL all seem fine. Both interfaces load in the browser. Alas, koha-conf.xml seems to be empty. The file is there. I can paste the one from github, of course, but I'm not sure what all must be edited. Any help appreciated. Re: [Koha] Koha Community Marketing Initiative
by BOUIS Sonia 08 Nov '16

08 Nov '16

Hello Nathan, It's a great idea. Perhaps, I could try to write small content on the use of Koha in academic libraries in France (10 universities and almost the same number of "grandes écoles") Cheers, Sonia Message: 7 Date: Mon, 7 Nov 2016 10:09:42 -0500 From: Nathan Curulla <nate(a)bywatersolutions.com> To: koha(a)lists.katipo.co.nz Subject: [Koha] Koha Community Marketing Initiative Message-ID: <BFA22242-9780-4FE3-B1F5-A1853D878296(a)bywatersolutions.com> Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii Greetings fellow Koha users! During the last general IRC meeting it was decided that it is time we got serious about marketing Koha globally as a community. There is still too much misunderstanding and fear based on misconceptions circulated by the larger proprietary ILS systems and it is time we fight back and educate our librarians on the realities of what we do. I will be heading up this initiative and would like to see who else is interested in taking part. For now, we have no budget for this so most of the marketing will be content that is created during volunteer time such as more regular press regarding features, website content, blog posts and social media. If you have experience marketing products or have a desire to be involved by writing content and directing the message we are trying to put out please let me know and we can put together a committee. Thanks much and I am excited to get our message out to a broader global user base! All the best, -Nate > Nathan A. .mrc file import issue
by Via Vitae Solutions 08 Nov '16

08 Nov '16

Hi, I am new to Koha. I am facing some problem regarding database. If I want to import a .mrc file after truncating biblio, biblioitems and items tables, then the biblionumber is increasing. For example, if I truncate 3000 rows from the above tables, then after impoting the .mrc file, it is starting from 3001. If you kindly help why I am not getting biblionumber 1 second time, then I will be grateful. -- Via Vitae Solutions Kolkata - 700064 India
