Hi I am running Koha 3.22.06.000 on Ubuntu 14.04. I am failing to search books from the OPAC. I have try to follow the troubleshooting guide on https://wiki.koha-community.org/wiki/Troubleshooting_Zebra but it appears zebra is not running. Koha 16.05.02: need to refresh after 1)adding an item to a list, 2)deleting an authority, 3)uploading a cover

Dear All, It used to be the case (in Koha 3.02.02 at least) that when adding a biblio to a list in the Staff client, the item page would automatically refresh after that action. That way you immediately got to see which list you've just added the item to. After upgrading to Koha 16.05.02, this is no longer working as it used to, i.e. after adding an item to a list the item page remains static and one needs to do a manual refresh (tested with Firefox and Chrome). Another case where this is happening is when deleting an authority (that is not used in any records) via the 'Actions' drop-down menu. As soon as you click on the 'Delete' option, the page reloads but the deleted authority is still listed. You have to do a manual refresh for it to completely disappear. Finally, when uploading an image for a biblio, once an image has been uploaded and you click on the 'View final record' link the resulting page does not show the uploaded image and you have to manually refresh it for the cover image to show. indexing of 450 authoritiy field?

Hello, I am currently working on my authorities and I was dissapointed to discover the information I have entered in the 450 MARC 21 authority field (see from tracing - topical term) is not retrieved in my searches. Holds and emails question

Hi All - we've only just implemented holds, we went live 3 weeks ago. One thing we are grappling with is books which have holds on, going "missing" before they get to the holds shelf. At the moment if a user returns an item via the Selfcheck machines,which is on hold for another user, then an email (informing the user that their book is ready to collect) is automatically added to the message_queue table and then sent when the email cronjob runs. However, the user may not actually place the returning item in the holds bin, they may put it on the normal return trolley, where some else may take it to read in the Library and then anything can happen to it. In cases like these the email has already been generated and the book is NOT ready to collect even though we've told the user that it is. This is happening often at the moment, and we are dealing with it in two ways - either removing the user's email address from their record, so the email cannot be sent, or deleting the message from the table at the SQL level. Neither of these are ideal. I'm just wondering how other people are handling this? We have two campuses, and when an on-hold item is returned which is for a user at the other campus, it goes into transit and the email does not get generated until the item is checked in at the other campus. Can the same be achieved with the Selfcheck machines? Creating a separate virtual library, adding the self check machine users to it, and then books will automatically go into transit, therefore the email will not get generated? Do other libraries do this? SQL help - Retrieve itemnumbers based on local subject keyword

Hi all, Koha 16.05.03 on Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (package install) I need to batch modify a subset of records in our db. I have to use itemnumbers rather than barcodes to populate the list because not all of the records to be modified have a barcode. I've tried the following SQL to no avail: SELECT itemnumber FROM items WHERE (SELECT biblionumber, ExtractValue(marcxml,'//datafield[@tag="690"]/subfield[@code>="a"]') LIKE <<Enter keyword surrounded BY %>> As you can see, I need to retrieve item numbers based on a keyword query from the 690$a field (MARC21). AdvancedSearchTypes and OPAC

Hi all, I'm trying to add tabs for collections (ccode) and shelving locations (loc) to the advanced search pages for the OPAC client. I set the AdvancedSearchTypes preference to "itemtypes|ccode|loc", and this caused the ccode and loc tabs to appear on the staff client search page, as expected. But the OPAC client advanced search page still shows only the itemtypes tab. Is there some other preference I need to set to get the additional search tabs to appear on the OPAC?
