Koha 3.14 & Receipt (Slip) Printers

Hi All, Currently we are running on Koha v3.14 and have all of a sudden come across an issue with printing slips in the Circulations screens (particularly Checkout and Checkin). Previously we have never had an issue with printing slips from any browser that we use (normally Google Chrome and Apple Safari - both on Macs), but now all of a sudden when we click/select the print slip options either from a menu option or a checkin alert Koha will quickly appear and disappear the print preview window within a second with no print dialogue box appearing whatsoever. I have tried Circulation in Firefox and have found that it will print slips, but when it does print the slips they are the length of a standard A4 piece of paper at minimum, even though the slip(s) aren't even near half that in length. Does anyone know what may have happened here, or how I would go about resolving this issue, as Google Chrome is our preferred browser as it runs a lot faster and efficiently compared to what Firefox does. mysql query xml extract value, runtime parameters and lookup of authorized values

Hi all, I have the following mysql query below to get biblio details based on target audience/course 521$a which has authorized/pre-defined values TARGET. Some records has more than one Target audience hence the ExtractValue( b.marcxml, '//datafield[@tag="521"]/subfield[@code="a"][2]') and so on. The thing is the authorized values made up by the librarians are kind of alien and I would like to show in the report the Descriptions (intranet and OPAC) - these are captured in the authorised_values.lib and and authorised_values.lib_opac columns. Has anybody done the same query? I can't seem to find the right terms maybe someone can show me. TIA and cheers! local language searching problem

Dear all, I plan to install KOHA in my office. I'm trying some test of KOHA configuration in development environment. I have two language books; English and Dzongkha(Bhutanese official language). I resitered some books as test into KOHA and verified search function in both staff and OPAC page. While searching in English, I got results which match title condition I entered. However, while I search in Dzongkha, the result shows all books which I resistered in Dzongkha language,though I entered searching conditions. When I tested to verify SELECT function in MySQL, I could get correct results in Dzongkha. Maybe, I suppose that the cause why I cannot get correct results in Dzongkha case is related to KOHA's configuration. If anyone know solution for this local language searching problem, could you please tell me in detail how to modify configuration. Pending 16.11 Release Dates

Hey All, It's that time of the year again! Here is the timeline Brendan and I have mapped out for the pending Koha 16.11 release: Nov 1st - Feature Slush For the uninitiated, the slush means that no new enhancements, only bug fixes, will be pushed to master until some time after the 16.11 release. During the slush phase bug fixes may include template string changes that will require translation. Nov 3 - 1st Draft of release notes The 1st draft of the 16.12 release notes will be published and made available so corrections may be submitted. Nov 10 - 2nd Draft of release notes Nov 15th - Feature Freeze >From November 15 until the release date, only bug fixes without string changes will be pushed to master. Request for documentation -- ICU chains

I did a bit of searching for ICU chains documentation on the Koha wiki, based on Fatone's post 'local language searching problem' ... and I wasn't really satisfied with what I found: The most complete documentation that I found was here: https://wiki.koha-community.org/wiki/Correcting_Search_of_Arabic_records There's also https://wiki.koha-community.org/wiki/Correcting_Search_of_Polish_records I've added https://wiki.koha-community.org/wiki/ICU_chains_configuration but I'm not enough of an expert to explain how to set up transliterate rules, which seem to be an important part of getting ICU to work to its fullest potential.
