batch load sets of MARC records

Is there a command-line driven way to batch load sets of MARC records in Koha version 2.2.9? I have installed version 2.2.9. After editing the koha-httpd.conf file and making koha.conf readable by the Web server, I was able to access the Koha public and back-end interfaces. I then used the Web- based import routine to add about 100 MARC records to the "biblio". I then used the cataloging interface to find a particular record, give it an accession number, and give it a barcode. After that the item was added to the collection and searchable from the public interface. Cool. This process was a bit tedious. Is there a way to simply import my batch of 300,000 record into the system without touching each one? -- Eric Lease Morgan

koha barcode mondatory

Hello, I have setup koha and would like to try entring some data into it, but each time I try to entre a record, I can not go through the Items section. I get an error message "-1 mandaroty fields empty" and it points to the barcode field "p -barcode *". I am using koha 2.2.8. I do not remember setting any barcode parameters as mandatory. Dear Sir/Madam, i am trying to install koha 2.2.9 on my fedora core 7 and i follow your documentation which is available on your website for fedoracore 2,3,4 but not for higher version of fedora.. i have successfully installed all perl modules koha requires except ZOOM, I tried to install this modules various way but i failed to install this module as i get the famous error message every time ( paste only the last line of the error- make had returned bad status, install seems impossible) . i really impressed the koha library software so i want to install it for our library use in PHFI( PUBLIC HEALTH FOUNDATION OF INDIA). so i kindly request you if you help me by sending step by step guide for koha on fedora 7 and also about dependencies requires by koha. I made it through the make install script with one warning Dumper 2.12108 not found. we have 2.121 The make test had lots of errors because it assumes I have tables in the mysql koha database. The problem I having now is my system seems to be ignoring the ScriptAlias directives in the koha-httpd.conf file. It is linked to koha in the site-enabled directory. The /var/log/apache2/error.log indicates that the ScriptAlias are not recognized or being ignored. Has anyone else had this problem? Disk space requirement for Web Server

Hello Everyone, What is the usage bandwidth for a typical Koha library catalogue? Is it possible to go over 40 megabytes of disc space (on a Web Server) and over 400 megabytes of traffic per month? We have 1500 items in our catalogue. Thank you. koha 3.0 alpha, Debian etch, apache2

Hi all, I've been trying to load koha 3.0, on Debian etch and apache2 and got to step 6 in the install.debian instructions. I could not access the web installer. It turns out, I could not access any .pl files with a web browser! After days of search and trying things, I added a cgi-bin directory to my /home/*/public_html directory. I could execute .cgi files but not .pl files. I added the following to my /etc/apache2/mods-available/perl.load file <Directory /home/*/public_html/cgi-bin> SetHandler perl-script PerlHandler ModPerl::Registry Options +ExecCGI </Directory> now I can open my test .pl file in my browser. For comparison purposes, with non-KOHA systems ... a zipped backup file on my old software, not client-server, took up 62MB for 50,000 titles; 68,000 copies; & 30,000 authority records. When I migrated to a client-server system, each backup file required close to 1GB. The question becomes what is backing up: everything or just data? What information is stored? Your question has made me more curious about KOHA server requirements.
