Problems with authority searching in Koha3

We are able to add new authorities (e.g., personal name authorities) but we are not getting any results when trying to search for a recently created authority (we already tried all search boxes, also in OPAC) At the moment of the search, Koha logs the following message: authorities-home.pl: NZAND at /usr/share/koha/lib/C4/Search.pm line 1650. and then, maybe unrelated: authorities-home.pl: Use of uninitialized value in split at /usr/share/koha/lib/C4/Languages.pm line 129. I believe the latter is a strange mix of the language content requested by the browser and the available intranet languages, so this don't worry me much, but the former message appears when running other authority searches such as when you run misc/link_bibs_to_authorities.pl and nothing happens. Furthermore, using latest HEAD we can't even add (or search!) authorities and we get uglier messages such as: authorities.pl: DBD::mysql::st execute failed: Column 'authtypecode' cannot be null at /usr/share/koha/lib/C4/AuthoritiesMarc.pm line 560 when adding a 'Default' authority: Bad index while coercing array into hash at /usr/share/koha/lib/C4/Biblio.pm line 2268. when adding either 'Default' or any other authority, and: DBD::mysql::st execute failed: Table 'auth_subfield_structure' was not locked with LOCK TABLES at /usr/share/koha/lib/C4/AuthoritiesMarc.pm line 82. Do you have authorities working on a non-Zebra Koha3 installation? Could you provide any specific pointers on this issue? We just downloaded Koha Basic to get a feel for the software. One of the first things we've noticed is the Add Marc display screen: all the buttons down the side, one for a separate page of tags, rather than just a blank form for tags and subtags that can be filled out by a cataloger. We've copied the default and gone through the laborious task of deleting each tag we didn't want for a monographic record. However, we don't immediately see how to remove the buttons on the left frame (so we can just have the full blank record display with the tags and subtags we've selected). Is there a configuration we've missed or is this how the cataloging form will always display? Having the tags on separate pages based on their numbering seems inefficient. Running OPAC and Intranet at the same time

(Koha 3.0 alpha, Gentoo Linux 2.6.24, MySQL 5.0.54) I'm running the Koha OPAC on port 3333 on my website, and the Intranet on port 3334. Unfortunately (if I understand the rules for cookies correctly) it's not possible to have a cookie segregated to a certain website and a certain port number. As a result, I can't login and access both the Intarnet and OPAC site on the same browser. For instance if I login as "kohaadmin" on the Intranet (port 3334), then login as "adams" on the OPAC (port 3333), the first cookie will be overwritten, and the Intranet site will complain that I'm now logged in as a non-administrative user (adams). Right now, I've taken to accessing the Intranet on Firefox and the OPAC on MSIE to keep my logins separate. But could this problem be solved if Koha used different cookie names for the two different sections? e.g. instead of using CGISESSID everywhere, maybe use KOHAINET as the cookie name for the Intranet and KOHAOPAC for the OPAC site? Is this worth submitting an enhancement request over?

Facing Issue during Installation of KOHA

I'm trying to setup fines rules such that a patron gets a 7 day grace period after their due date, then starts getting charged $0.50 every week that the book isn't checked in. (This is for a church library, so the days when a patron can check in a late book are limited. Hence, I only want to bump the fine up every 7 days). So for instance if your book was due on Feb. 1, you should get a grace period for a week. Then, on Feb. 8 you get your first $0.50 fine. A week later on Feb. 15 you get another $0.50 fine. So I setup the fines rules for all types as "0.5,7,7". According to the docs, this should generate a $0.50 fine every 7 days after the 7-day grace period has expired. But when running cronjobs/fines2.pl with a test checkout, it didn't turn out the way I expected. Here are the results. But according to the documentation, that's the equivalent of saying "a $0.50 fine after 0 days every 7 days". That doesn't sound right.) Thanks!

Need help configuring Windows Xp to display latin characters like acents, ñ, etc. In Koha admin, in the option "add" bibliography when performing a Z39.50 search the records retrieved that includes accents display incorrectly.
