Problem with Amazon content

I have installed koha 2.2.9 on ubuntu 6.06 and everything was working properly intil the OPAC began crashing when loading search results. Am not able to access the error log file to get the exact causes for the problem, but after i disabled the Amazon content, the OPAC worked well albeit without the Amazon book images. So what could be wrong here, what should i do to correct it? Is there another way of getting the book images, apart from Amazon? Multiple primary key defined

I get the following error trying to update our database to version 3. alter or create bookfundid in aqbookfund DBD::mysql::db do failed: Multiple primary key defined at installer/data/mysql/update22to30.pl line 1960 The source says it will run the query twice. Koha in Croatia

Dear list members, Here at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Zagreb, Croatia, we decided to use Koha. About the reasons I could write very long story, but for now I just want to share with you my happiness about that fact. And some fears :) We decided to be very brave so we installed Koha 3.0, and we will be using it very soon, for production. I know it is not recommended for production use yet, but it looks comfortable to me for our needs right now. Some functionality we need right now, other can wait, and also we plan some development on top of Koha (primarily for communication with other systems). Everything what I seriously need right now, seems to be working in Koha 3.0, except the trouble with subtitles (bug 1621), which is pretty serious to me. Also, we wanted to run Koha on Postgres but we didn't get system preferences loaded into the database during installation, so we thought maybe not for now :) So, first thing I wanted to check with developers - how silly is to use Koha 3.0 for production right now? (by now I mean in about 2 months :). Specifically, do you expect any database changes which would give me a trouble with data in current database? What is with subtitles, will they get separate field in Koha database? (actually, it is better to call it "reminder of title" because that is the meaning of the 245b field in MARC21, although in UNIMARC you have distinction - 200e for subtitle, 200k for another title, 200d for parallel title) Second, I want to ask developers to open Croatian translation chapter on Koha translation site (local name: Hrvatski, abbr: hr). (I see Croatian already listed on About Koha page) Third, is there are any serious or potential users from Croatia or countries with similar languages already? I would very much like to be in touch with you. And finally some words to introduce myself and my dearest and generous friend Dobrica who is helping us during last few years in implementing free software in our libraries. He is very proficient in Perl and also very active in open source community. We developed our current library catalog which is actually search engine, indexer for data in different formats (e.g. native CDS/ISIS format, ISO2709, DBF or Excel) so we are not limited just to data coming from bibliographic database but we search different sources (e.g. list of e-journals coming from publisher) all in one interface. Please read WebPAC::Manual first and sorry for not having any user documentation, I hope that will change. So, conceptually this is very broad project, tending to be data warehouse and search engine, but for now it is really only the very powerful tool for restructuring data. Authorized value not displaying correctly in OPAC simple view

Hi all, Having a problem with this: using Koha version 2.2.9 on Windows XP, in testing stage. I have 952c set up with an authorized value menu for shelving location (2nd floor, 3rd floor, etc). In the OPAC, my test record displays this text fine in the "complete" (marc) view, in the "items" tab--but in the "simple" view, the location displays the authorized value NUMBER, not the TEXT, i.e. "LibraryName 3 call#" instead of "LibraryName 4th floor call#" Anyone have any suggestions? I'm not sure where I messed up- Thanks, Jennifer

Moving to a newer server and OS

We'd like to upgrade to Koha 3.0, but put it on a new server. Our current OS is Debian Sarge. The new server will need to run Etch because Sarge won't install on the new hardware. This also means we'll be switching from MySQL version 4 to 5. Is it possible to do a mysqldump on the old server and load the data on the new server, then install Koha 3 and do the updates? To disable that option, in Internet Explorer (I'm using IE 7 here, but I think that, if you use IE 6, the procedure is the similar or even the same): 1 - Go to the "Tools" menu, and select the "Internet Options" command (it's the last one). 2 - The "Internet Options" dialog box should open. Click on the "Advanced" tab (last one) 3 - Scroll down the "Settings" list (list of checkboxes), until you find the "Show friendly HTTP error messages" checkbox (it's the last checkbox before the "Underline links" radio buttons group). UNCHECK that "Show friendly HTTP error messages" checkbox! Announcing Koha 3.0 (Beta 2)

Hi folks, Due to oversight on my part, there were a few template display issues with the Koha 3.00.00-beta release on March 23, 2008. I had also neglected to pre-install the available translations. Both these issues have been cleared up and are now available in a Koha 3.0 Beta 2 release.
