I am sure his point was : let us not spread out forces, but let us join and disambiguate, harmonize all the terms that still are quite "fuzzy" checkout return, Issues, as a checkout or as a "serial issue". And then let's play.
Ok sounds good. I can help, but the easiest way for me to do so would be via the translation manager. Koha is not my day job. So set up code for this english version (suggest en-US as ODLIS is written in US english?) and then we can have at it. So plan from there - do an en-GB version? And then see where we are at? If so, sounds good to me. Cheers, Russel

We're splattered across three lists, so people might have missed when I explained that this doesn't seem like a translation problem to me in http://lists.koha.org/pipermail/koha-translate/2008-April/000853.html We need a method to translate (to en) and then localise (to en_NZ, en_GB, en_US and so on). If we can't combine a base translation with localisations, I suspect this could quickly become a lot of work to keep up-to-date. Now, if only I remembered how the translation tools worked... *blush* Hope that explains, -- MJ Ray (slef) Webmaster for hire, statistician and online shop builder for a small worker cooperative http://www.ttllp.co.uk/ http://mjr.towers.org.uk/ (Notice http://mjr.towers.org.uk/email.html) tel:+44-844-4437-237
Russ, We think this is a very good idea too. There are significant differences between the terms in general usage in the US and those we are more familiar with in Australia. We would be happy to contribute to a clean-up and then coordinate an en-AU/NZ/GB translation. I don't think there would be a lot of differences from en-NZ or en-GB or en-AUS apart from the region/state issue. We will be travelling a lot in May but can start early June.
